One of my favourite cubing sites, Jason Baum's at jmbaum.110mb.com, seems to have been dead for a few days now. Anybody else having this problem? Anyone know whether the site will be back or whether it has moved?
I use Yau/freeslice on 4x4 and I think it works. A lot of people use a variant of 32223 if you want to try that out. It's basically the same thing but with 4 less edges to pair. Mitch (drumgod1997) has a walkthrough/tutorial but I can't find it. I'll keep looking and edit if I find it.
I line up 3 edges then do a u slice, then replace the solved edges with unsolved edges on U so that when I slice back 3 of them get solved. Then you just have to do a 2 pair swap thing. Sometimes you get lucky and all for edges pair up on the first slice, then you can get 4 more to pair on the un-slicing.
After the cross is done, 8 pairs remain. If you have time you can look if any more are solved. If one more is solved, pair up 3, slice pair last 4. If not, slice and do 3-2-3.

My Question:
How often do you have to lubricate your cube? I bought a guhong and didn't lubricate it for about a year and now it just started feeling slow yesterday. So I searched up on the internet on how to lubricate a cube and while doing that, I stumbled upon videos saying you have to lubricate it every 50 solves:confused: That seems a bit too much to me. So do I have to lubricate every year, week, month, what are your thoughts?
Additional info: For a 3x3
My 4x4 arrived today and I can't solve it. I watched some Yau walkthroughs and I can do the cross and stuff but can't pair the edges, how do I do that ?
