I decided to get a square 1, but the only two options that I have are Calvin's and MF8 v2. I saw reviews, but they weren't enough to choose between the two.
Which one is better?
Thanks for helping!

I just remembered I had an old Diansheng 3x3 which I bought 3 years ago, and had seen in the Cubing World How To Get Fast video for Feet, where he said that blocky cubes are the best for feet. I tried the diansheng, and it was perfect for feet. Better than either my f/s or my zhanchi. So my question is, the diansheng still locks up quite a bit, I have some sandpaper with me, which points should I mod off and how much should I mod them such that this cube retains the stability and feel yet cuts corners a bit? (even at least 15 degrees is more than enough for me). The cube is seriously good for feet.

You should definitely mod it, like sanding the edge and corners a little. :)

How long is a standard cube? I think it's 56mm but I'm not sure. I'm asking because the cubicle has a sale on the mini weilong and I want to know how much smaller it is than the regular weilong. :p

Is it normal that when you first learn something like 4LLL that your times get slower?. I didn't follow a guide or anything and learned intuitive F2L before I learned 4LLL (I don't know if that really matters for this case)...Right now my times have slowed down by about 20 seconds.

Do I just need more practice with actually executing them and case recognition of the new algs I have learned?

Yeah, just practice and you'll eventually get faster.
