He needs the best cube possible or he won't get anywhere near fast times duhh.

OP: 1, you'll have to ask camcuber but I'm sure if you lubed it yourself it'd be better suited to you and more personal. 2, personal preference, most of the fastest mod them themselves. 3,4, people have and found little improvement. As it should be.

Thanks for the response. Unlike some people who want a fast cube, I'm not getting an new cube for "getting fast times." I only cube for fun, and I don't practice often. I just have been doing a lot of solving lately, and I thought I should invest in a new cube.

The One Answer Question Thread

If you were to take a garden variety cube like an old guhong and modded it yourself you'll feel much more satisfied... But if you want to spend extra money on some cube modded by someone else it's you to judge whose style is closest to yours...

Its not. With Guimond you orient everything in two steps, OSPA orients it in one using SOAP or SS. Guimond separates then does PBLL, OSPA solves it in one alg.

At a certain point all 2x2 methods start to blend I you keep doing things more advanced.

I see what you're saying, but the 3/4 opposite colors layer is skipped most of the time and is never more than one move, so orientation is basically just one step. I do see how they're different though.

I have some spare Magics here, I would like to build a Master Magic out of them, I got the image for master magic printed already, is it possible to create a master magic using 2 magics and assemble it like a normal master magic? Thanks a lot :)

AS long as you do the stringing correctly, sure! For stringing I use this guide: http://cube.garron.us/magic.htm

I have a problem with my GuHong V2, I just relubed and reassembled it, now, It cuts corner 45 degrees perfectly, but, It doesn't reverse corner cut!

Here is an image when I try to do a reverse corner cut

My main guess is the tension, but I have tensioned it using how Cyoubx tensioned his cube.

That 45 degree stuff is merely a fun statistic and brag material. ;) I can get my zhanchi over 70, but when are you EVER going to use.. say.. 30+?

So.. my opinion: tighten it, and then get it to corner cut evenly forward and backward, which to me seems much more useful. :)

Having trouble memorising what I'm supposed to do when I'm planning the cross? I have to memorise the algs + how the other edges are affected and it really hurts my brain and then I forget.

This is also my problem, I'm fine about the cross, but the problem is, the transitioning from cross to F2L, I can do cross for about 3 seconds, and then, totally pause because I have to look for the first pair. My mind can't keep track of the 4 edges and looking for the first pair at the same time. > <

Just keep practicing. If you don't try then you'll stay not being able to do it! It will just take a little bit of practice and you'll get it adventually. :)

Look just for corner or edge. You should be able to do cross blindfolded, so you don't have to keep track of the cross edges.

I have a question, are there more algorithms of the same lenght to obtain the same result with the cube ?

Yes. R2 U R U R' U' R' U' R' U R' is (in HTM) the same length as M2 U' M U2 M' U' M2. That's just the first one that came to mind, but there are many more.
