Quick Question... how can i make the tensions even on my Guhong? I bought it assembles, and the screws were crooked into the core... i've been at it now for like 3 hours, and still cant get it. It can't even cut like 25 degrees... any help?

Completely disassemle it if you haven't already and hold it by the center piece while holder a screw driver and twist the core onto the screw. To make mine even I unscrew them so the crew head is at the top the the center piece hole. Then incremntly tighten each side by the same amout

Nope, that wont work:
"This vinyl can not be printed with an inkjet or laser printer. Unfortunately, we do not offer printable stickers" (CubeSmith).

As far as I'm concerned, that means that you can't use normal paper in your printer and magically print out vinyl stickers. Probably something he just put on the site for *****s :p

Yes, you can cut it using a machine

I'm pretty sure he means you can't run the vinyl through your printer and get the logo to stick... I'm sure the ink will just smudge and wipe off.

I have a question about my Dayan mf8 4x4 cube. It arrived yesterday, but I was disappointed with it. Out of the box it did not even turn, the screws were probably very tight. I tried loosing them a little bit, but then the cube was awful as heck and equator moves resulted in pieces popping out under my thumb. How do I tension it properly so it performs like a cube should?

throw it away and get a shengshou 4x4

So making it tighter and breaking it in helps? Maybe I am just used to cubes turning great out of the box, like Shengshou 4x4 and Guhong II.
I remember that breaking in my Rubik's 3x3 took some time, then it was decent.
Thanks for your answer, Endgame!

Also, if you look on youtube for a video called 'how to lube your dayan 4x4' (Or similar title) by izovire. Follow those instructions and your dayan will be amazing.

Every time I've lubed a big cube, it's only had negative side affects, generally making the cube too loose and unstable, and generally causes frequent pops. With that said, I want to lube my Shengshou 4x4 V4. Would it be safe to use CRC silicone and work it in, or would I be better off disassembling it? I've had cubes get, essentially, super glued by this stuff in the past.

if it the lubricant acts as superglue you either use the wrong brand of spray or you just don't break the lubricant in correctly.

The latter, I've used this brand on all my cubes (except my shengshou and my 7x7) and it works fine. If you let it sit, it glues the pieces together though. And yes, it is a proper one that is suggested by numerous people: CRC Heavy Duty Silicone Spray.

I'm asking cause I don't know how it'll affect the inner pieces.

I sprayed CRC in it and it works just fine, no worries

Spray, work it in. Simple as that. If you let the cube sit then, depending on the lube, then you run the risk of it sticking together. I'd recommend some R/C car differential oil, the type used in the axles and gearboxes. I bought a little bottle for £3.99 ($6? I don't know the conversion rates) about a year ago and it's about 1/5 gone, so that's a good investment.

As for the poppy cube, I don't know. If it's a V-cube then you're out of luck unless you want to risk making it adjustable. Any other cube, tighten the centres by a 1/4 turn or so.
