There aren't really any solid rules for timeattacks, because you're basically racing to beat your personal best. But generally people don't cancel moves, or there is nothing to stop you completely cancelling the A perms, U-Perms, etc.

Yeah, I noticed that. I don't think he should have done that, but hey, it's just an unofficial event, can't really complain about it
There was a heated debate a while ago about if you should do the final U in some of your PLL's, like I end my Jb perm with a U', but technically that's an AUF so isn't needed. I think the conclusion was, you can do whatever you feel happy doing.
I'm at a block with my 4x4 times. I've done hundreds of solves and practiced alot and cannot seem to improve. I've also down a breakdown of all the steps in my solves.
Centers Average: 17.97
Edge Pairing Average: 40.965
3x3 Step Average: 30.823
What should I work on and how can I improve to get past this seemingly impossible task for me? Thanks in advance.
How do you get "Member" changed to something else? Under the username, I mean.
Like Mike Hughey is "Super Moderator" or something, I think. Godmil and Carson are "Premium Member"; Brest is "Super Reconstructer"; CubeNovice is "Forever Slow"; Noahaha is "blind"; etc.

Is speedsolving.com down on mobile for everyone, or just me? I've been unable to access these forums from my phone for about 2 days now. It just comes up with a white screen. I've even gone through google and tried accessing specific posts, or the non-mobile version of the site; to no avail.
So, i had just got my SS 6X6, and i played with it alot and nothing wrong with it. I had just lubed it today with CRC and evry side turns better but one specific side that is really slugish and the 2 layers under it are also slugish. then all of a sudden one half of the cube is locking up with the middle half of the cube and i can barely turn it without being afraid of breaking it. it feels as if the peices are catching on eachother :fp. what can i do to fix all of this?
Take it all the way apart to make sure internal pieces did not fuse together. With CRC you have to break it in (do a whole scramble) right away or else it can melt the plastic and dry together the pieces.

Is it worth it to be CN for Yau? I'm about 30 seconds slower if I do non w/y cross (1:30 -> 2:00), but I'll occasionally get a scramble that has really easy non w/y f2c and I'll try to use them, but...
