Does anybody have any idea of how Feliks is doing his edge pairing here? I can see that it's freeslice but I'm having trouble seeing whether he's pairing wing pieces with center edges or building whole tredges one at a time. Very fast with lots of rotations so it's hard to follow >_>

I cant order lubix

Can someone link me to a good master magic tutorial?

Also, what are dimensions of LA master magic?

What are the chances of three PLL skips in a row? :P

1/72.

Because a PLL skip has a 1/72 chance of happening. In my opinion, those who say it's 1/373248 are wrong. My mentality on it is that just because you've already had a PLL skip doesn't mean your chances will be any lower on your next solve.

Because really, does your cube know that you just got a PLL skip? Does it want to make sure you won't get 2 or 3 in a row? No, so the fact that you just got 1 or 2 in a row doesn't affect the chances of getting another one.

The probability of you getting a PLL on your next 3 solves is 1/373248.

The probability on any given solve is 1/72, regardless of what has previously happened. But getting it twice in a row is 1/5184.

Think about this, the odds of flipping tails twice in a row on a coin is not 1/2. It's 1/4, because you need it to happen twice in a row. Because there are four possible outcomes HH, HT, TH, and TT. Only one of the four of those is what you want, so 1/4.

Ok, the probability as stated of any specific 3 solves chosen at random being a PLL skip will be

This is a terrible way of thinking of it, however. Try this:

The probability of there being some PLL in 3 specific solves :

Now in say, an average of
gif.latex
,

there are
gif.latex
sets of 3 consecutive solves.

This means that you have a chance of

chance of 3 PLL skips being in a row in the the set of solves.

I noticed this today, and I noticed that there aren't any cubers anywhere near me. Is this map updated fairly frequently (like, do most cubers register on it), or is it sort of outdated?
