Hi everyone,
I recently received SS 4x4 VIII. Lubed it, tensioned a bit.
It's the best 4x4, it's perfect, bla bla bla...
BUT when executing PLL parity(r2 move), it locks-up about 50% of all times.
So I have to do PLL parity carefully, so it takes up to 2-4 secs.
Is there any method or maybe mod to reduce these lock-ups?

Solve it, lots. Best advice I can give. After about 45ish solves I started getting a better feel for it and getting better control of my turns to prevent lock ups. A combo of me learning to control it, and it getting broken in has helped a ton in reducing the lock-ups.

If you find in unbearable there's always the Mini Dayan+Mf8 (that will hopefully be out in white soon *fingers crossed*) that is supposed to be really good as well.

is it a pb if i get the scramble off someone else and it is a real scramble. or does it have to be from my own timer.

Why after lubing the diansheng cube with diff oil (similar to lubix) it feels not as smooth, its very accurate but its slightly harder to turn, and locks up a bit more. On my zhanchi the lube works great. (the dianshengs are for my students [LOL], teaching some children to cube), planning to buy like 4

Chances are you used too much. Disassemble it and wipe the excess lube off with a clean cloth, reassemble and then do a few solves on it to help distribute the lube.
