Hi, i just got into learning how to solve big cubes(4x4 to 7x7), I wanted to ask what do you guys suggest for 6x6? When I was trying on my own, i paired the edges completely at a time until i was left with last 2 and fixed the parity. Then when i searched a youtube tutorial, They first pair only inner edges and then solve like 5x5. I was wondering which is faster(better)? Obviously, i dont have any problem with any of the methods as such, just want some expert advice on what should i adapt to.

Learn freeslicing. Search it on youtube.

Basically your E slice (or M if you prefer) always remains un..restored (centers should be done btw). Just pair up all the edges for one ...set, and then move that to the top layer or bottom layer, pair up another set, move that to the top or bottom (I rotate to always move the crap to the top)

When all 8 slots of the top/bottom are filled, restore the centers, do the final edges via 2 pairing and solve.

I think it is cubefreak.net because it has multiple algs for each case and clicking on any alg links you to a application showing the alg on a virtual cube. if you don't like the algs a youtube search can't hurt. It also gives some advice on finger tricks.
But thats just my opinion.:)

i am planing to do a average of 1000 during my vacation, is there a good timing program that saves my times if i shut down my computer?

there are these two things on lightake, any suggestion which is a good one(or are both same), i ordered the latter two days back so just asking?

They should both be good, but the transparent one is not competition legal.
