At Peterbone: although it has got F moves it still flows quite nice: F' R U R' U' R' F R

Don't let the F's fool you: it also keeps EO!
I got this one from Cride5 as we were discussing ZZ

Anyone have a video (slowly) showing how to do the RUD E perm?
Or maybe explain it well through text?

I've been practicing it for well over an hour how I thought its supposed to be done, but it takes me like 4 seconds...

My cross time is really lagging. I regularly spend 5 or more seconds on the cross and on hard crosses I always waste moves. Are there any tips that might that might lower my cross time?

Possible response... Do the cross on bottom.

Sorry, already do it.

Edit: Proud to post the 13,000 REPLY on this thread. I'm post 13001 because the OP gets one, but that doesn't count as a reply.

Doing the cross on bottom isn't an answer to speeding up cross anyway; rather it is an answer to speeding up transition between cross and F2L

and to actually answer your question: you have probably heard this before but I have to stress it again: take as much time as you possibly need to plan out the cross; don't limit yourself to the 15 seconds. If you can't plan out the whole cross, then try starting out with 3 edges (or even 2 if necessary), and try to solve them blindfolded. Once you get good at planning 3 edges and solving them blind, start trying all 4. You will suddenly find it to be easier (or at least that is the plan..)

Aw, thats how I've been doing it... but I'm so slow at it. I can't do the D' very easily. Half the time my cube locks up when I try it, or I dont complete the full turn. Any tips for that?

possibly the issue is not the D' itself but instead not having the layers properly aligned after the preceding R' move? Not much I can say without actually seeing you do it.

what do they use to make the stackmat timer mat?
the one i ordered doesnt come with a mat so i was wondering if i could buy something with a similar feel to it in the shops

Woah, that page is confusing (at least without a Square-1 at hand to try it out on) - try watching The Westonian's video tutorials, They're really easy to follow and only use about 6 algs... here is part 1, Part 2.

Alg for pure 2flip on 4x4?

I really like Waffo's one in this video r U2 r U2 r' U2 r U2 l' U2 r U2 r' U2 M r' U2 r'. Or if you don't care about the adjacent corner orientations it can be done with wide turns like this: r U2' r U2' r' U2 r U2' l' U2' r U2' r' U2 x' r' U2 r'
