I opened up the center pieces of my ES 4x4 to adjust the tensions a bit and i loosened it a bit more than required,so half of my LL pieces and the supporting pieces which are inside are out.

Now I'm having a really very hard time assembling them,i fear that if I try too hard, the other LL pieces will pop out making it harder for me.I have only one 4x4.

So what should I do now,i searched up youtube for ES assembly tutorials, but there were no good ones.I googled ES assembly tutorials or pdfs but couldn't find something of use.what next?

onkeydudee1313 has a tutorial on how to assemble it it might take you about an hour or so first time but at least you have a 4x4:P other than that i havent seen any otherr tutorials /guides

So did you know about compressing the springs, I hear that makes a big difference.

After about two failed assembly attempts it finally dawned on me that the pieces were staying put a lot better on the side that had the semi-compressed spring. At this point I decided to disassemble what I'd done and then adjust the tension some so that they were all tight and proceeded to assemble from there.

When ordering stickers for the GuHong, from Cubesmith, do the regular size stickers fit or should I order the small size stickers?

To clarify what I mean by fit: Large stickers "fit" on the FII but have some overlap, I don't want that overlap.

Lost my amazing Guhong. Don't really feel like buying a new one and re'modding it. I dont like FII and imo AV deteriorates too fast for my liking.

Wat do?

I thinking Lingyun but apparently it pops a lot? Is this confirmed?

edit: and for those saying to go find the special threads out there for what cube to get, well..lol. Oh well

Question: Why is it that no noobs on this forum get flamed while pretty much all of the older members of this forum did?

Maybe because if you are flamed for being a noob you are less likely to do it yourself.
Isn't it a good thing? Surely flaming is bullying anyway.

That's why I suggest flamming.
I mean, if I didn't get flamed when I started out in this forum, I probably still would be posting fail threads...

Edit:
Also, my LingYun actually doesn't pop... but it feels too cheap and flimsy for my liking

The older members of this forum are much older than 2010 or 2009. I'd say the older members would be people like Stefan, Kirjava, Dan (Cohen), Lucas Garron, etc. You won't see them get flamed because they know how to post correctly, and because they all have their small little clique.

And I see "noobs" get flamed all the time, and I don't see many of the older members getting flamed at all.

Anybody have an answer to myquestion of how much of the black border on the guhong is left with full size stickers?

Get out your SQ-1 and do / (3,0) / (1,0) /. You should have a sheild on top and a square on bottom.
Now my question: I was doing some solves, and I got this pattern, upside down (the square was on top). So, I turned over my SQ-1, did the pattern, turned it over again, and proceeded with the solve. By running into a random case that I knew, and doing the inverse of the algorithm above, I bypassed the whole collecting edges step. This resulted in my first ever sub-minute solve. Would you consider this lucky or just a case that I happen to know?

I would say it depends on how it was scrambled. Either a generated one, then yes lucky. Just random turns, still lucky, but most likely not scrambled enough, or some patters were done while scrambling.

Personally, I dont have the patience to do actual scrambles, So I just random turn for a while until I get 5 corners in one layer(meaning its scrambled pretty well) then I close my eyes and do a few extra random turns.

Just got an MF8 SQ1, are there any brands that have a wider middle layer. I have big fingers, so I find it awkward to grip and still be able to turn the layers.

Do Alpha stickers fit all cubes?

I am changing the screws and springs in my cube (and applying stickers) do you thing a dayan screw spring set, and a cube4you core would work out well?

What is the best tutorial for learning ZZ method and How many algorithms are there in ZZ?

Depends on how far you are going with it. The F2L part can be done intuitively and its better in the long run if you do intuitively. The last layer you need 7 OCLL algs and then 21 PLLs. If you already know CFOP then you should know those algs already. The advanced approach is ZBLL which does CO CP and EP in one algorithm, buts it has a rediculous amount of algs. I read in a thread somewhere that very few people have learned them all. I think 4chan was one of them.

This is the only tutorial I used.

Is it illegal in a comp to have rubber stickers?
I need to find a way to keep a better grip on my SQ1 and thought about applying something rubber like to the place I hold it, since I hold it the same way every time. Or perhaps rubber gloves?
