1. How do i get better at 4x4 reduction? I currently average at 3 something for a complete solve. I know i need to practice, but what else? I use a lanlan 4x4.

2. Is there any way to lube a clock without breaking it? My fingers are bloody sore.

3. I haven't really bothered to find a good method to solve the clock. Here's the one i figured: make an L with the edges, expand to a cross, flip, same on the back, flip, align cross with corners one at a time. Is there anything better? I get times of about 1 something with this method.

You can spray lube in the wheels and work it in, however I think you are better off just opening it to lube. The method you are using is fine, take a look at this if you want to maximise use of the top wheels. Also take a look at this video for use of lucky cases.

Yeah I kinda figured I'd have to open it. I put in some maru lube on the wheels and tried to work it in, but instead, it went onto the inserts. I had to open it real quick to make sure that the inserts remained safe haha! I saw the lucky cases video. I'll check out the other one soon. It seems i'm using the pochmann method. I looked up some solutions on youtube. They are the practically the same thing. Though what i learnt is that the flip after doing the second cross is pretty unnecessary. I'm down to sub 50 now. I get a sub 40 now and then. But atleast now my clock's solveable! I mean, before i lubed it, it was making my fingertips sore man!

Any answers to 1? My time's down to sub 3 now!

Also, the pyraminx algs for the flip + edge cycle on the wiki don't seem to work, unless i'm doing something wrong.

Any particularly good way to get below 2 sec for the magic? I'm pretty much stuck in the 2.4 to 4.0 range.

Hey can someone tell me where I can buy an mf8 Dayan 4x4 right now that will be delivered within a few days?? If not what other 4x4's are of around the same quality( not a qj or mini) and where can I buy it?

He looks to use this method for most of the puzzle (as most do) but he leaves the the F2L slots adjacent to the LL face open until the just before the LL. I believe at this point Balint uses 2LOLL (Not entirely sure) but I'm sure that he knows full PLL. A LOT of algs. This site http://sites.google.com/site/permuteramera/ has more algs for megaminx than you could ever learn. Well, most people could ever learn. Bogyo is insane.

For centers, try to lookahead to as much of the first one (and possibly even the second one) as possible during inspection.
For edge pairing, are you using one at a time? If you are, then this:
When you are solving an edge pair, look at one of the wings next to one of the wings you're pairing. Then, while solving your edge pair, find the wing that goes with that one. So basically lookahead. Just try not to pause as much. Hope this helps. :D

He uses edge control by manipulating the last F2L pair, then uses one OLL alg with the top star already oriented. Then he finishes it off with one look PLL.

The more I learn about his method, the more I feel inadequate. First he does 1L PLL. Now I find out he does full edge control. On megaminx. -sigh-

I got a question of where to buy a YJ 6x6 and 7x7 it doesn't have to be YJ but something cheaper than a v-cube.
Thanks

Please read the rules. Particularly 1c. Many people on this forum get upset over such things.

Get it from LighTake. You can opt for EMS if you need it fast. Should reach you within a week. Their standard shipping takes quite a while though

obviously your time improved without anyone giving you special tricks, so practice works just fine

I'm working on look ahead. Is 4 pairing better than 2 pairing? I use 2 pairing right now. Any vids where I can learn 4 pairing?
