Something like a half truncated cube.

I don't have a enough cubes to make extension cubes(I'm pretty new to cubing, only 43.97 average).
I only have a 2x2, two 3x3s, a square 1 and a 4x4.
Since I live in the UK it's pretty difficult to get your good cubes.

Why don't they allow transparent cubes in competitions?

You can edit your posts, if nobody has yet replied to you it's unnecessary to triple post.

You could perhaps join two of your 2x2s.

They don't allow transparent cubes because you can see more stickers/cubies than non-transparent cubes, which is unfair.

www.puzl.co.uk is a good place to shop in the UK, postage is very fast. See my thread here:

The only problem is the prices are quite expensive.

ive found out type c and d and a are mainly the best what would you use out of them and which model of it e.g (I) (III)

I have a cube with CubeSmith tiles on it with the white V-Cube color scheme and I want to put the V logo on the center of the black face. I tried using white out but it looks horrible. How can I make a good V on it? And I don't want to cut the tile.

So I have ~ a 10 second F2L, and I average 15-16 seconds. Does my F2L need work? Remember I orient edges during F2L, therefore some time is transferred from my LL to my F2L. (I would think)

Well, I'm not even as fast as you, but hey, perhaps my opinion will do any good.

If you're orienting edges during F2L, that means your LL times should be lower, right? I'd say 6 seconds for LL is a bit too much then. I'm pretty sure you can do LL in sub-4,5.

I am a beginner Square-1 -er and whenever I scramble it, it sometimes turns back into a cube which i don't want to happen. How do u avoid this?

If you hand scrambling, use an actual computer scramble. If you're using a computer scramble, consider yourself lucky and just go with it. ;)

I average 15 much more often than 16. 16 are my horrible days. My PR avg of 12 is sub 15. What I'm saying is my LL is 5 seconds consistently. OLL is like, 1.5 including recognition, and pll must be like 3.5? wtf? Maybe my oll is 2, pll 3. That sounds more accurate.

whats the difference between a cubesmith tile and stickers?
sorry for the noob questions

Is there anywhere I can buy a Stackmat timer (and mat) in the UK for less than the £30 they want on the Speedstacks site? I mean considerably less. That's almost twice the price that they sell them in the US.

You should work on getting a sub 5 LL, which is certainly possible using OCLL/PLL.
As, Us, T, Js, & H should all be about 1.3 or less, Z should be about 1.4-1.5
Rs, Gs, V, Y should be about 1.6 or better.
F, E and Ns should be sub 2 (though E is a female dog...)

All OCLLs can be sub 1 without too much effort, perhaps you should work on those that aren't, and then maybe practice predicting the OCLL during last pair?

Your f2l could definitely be faster though. Could you maybe give a breakdown of S1-4? And your average move count?

EDIT: I have way too much time on my hands.

Is a tiled QJ 4x4 allowed in competition? The rules aren't clear to me.

Yes, it is.

Is there even such thing as a last four edges index for 5x5 reduction using the bigcubes.com method? I watched one of Dan Cohen's videos, and his last four edges are amazing, but I have no idea how he learned to deal with those cases that efficiently. Any tips?
