Is a tiled QJ 4x4 allowed in competition? The rules aren't clear to me.

Yes, it is.

Is there even such thing as a last four edges index for 5x5 reduction using the bigcubes.com method? I watched one of Dan Cohen's videos, and his last four edges are amazing, but I have no idea how he learned to deal with those cases that efficiently. Any tips?

Hey JTW2007

We have the same first name. i never see anybody with the same name as me
I tried checking both of your WCA profiles, and JTW2007's profile link doesn't work.

Wrong way around.

Yep. AREScuber's youtube doesn't work either.

EDIT: So how 'bout those last four edges?

I have $30.
I'm planning on ordering a $14 type FII and I will have $16 left.

I was thinking about buying a Qj 4x4, a Cube4youDIY, along with new stickers. What would you reccomend? I need a better 4x4 because my eastsheen is bleh. But I heard they break. Help?

Where can i buy CRC Heavy duty silicone or jigaloo in Australia?
I'v tried looking through other peoples comments and googling it but with no luck.
Can anyone help!?

ive found out type c and d and a are mainly the best what would you use out of them and which model of it e.g (I) (III)

or should i get a c4y diy cube i avg 40 - 1 min

Answer me plz!

Get any of them that you want, out of C and A I prefer C due to it's crispiness versus smoothness. I can't comment on the C4U cube but it seems to be more like the Type A. If you wanted to expand on the A selection then I would recommend the AIII; it's currently my main cube and I can get sub-15 on it so I'm sure it'll do in terms of speed.

I recommend the Type C from DealExtreme.com for affordability and availability or the Type A III from PopBuying.com, RubikFans or Cube4You because I like it.

It is all down to personal preference, do you want a smooth, wet feeling cube or a dry, crisp cube?

Is there anywhere I can buy a Stackmat timer (and mat) in the UK for less than the £30 they want on the Speedstacks site? I mean considerably less. That's almost twice the price that they sell them in the US.

Sorry for repeat-posting, but I'd like someone to answer this. ;)

Maybe find someone willing to trade?

I know they sell Stackmats at cube4you. I don't know if it would be cheaper with shipping, though.

EDIT:I also have a question. Which of these OLLs is better for OH?
L L'w U' Lw L' U2 L L'w U' Lw L'(or the S-plane mirror)
or
L'w U' L U L' Lw U' L' U L
(This is the adjacent edge flip)

I've found one on Puzl.co.uk for £15.99 but it doesn't have the save function etc. Is the save function, data port and clock worth the extra £14?

I don't think so.

Whichever one is easier to perform for you.

I have a cube with CubeSmith tiles on it with the white V-Cube color scheme and I want to put the V logo on the center of the black face. I tried using white out but it looks horrible. How can I make a good V on it? And I don't want to cut the tile.

Bumping my old question. And also, I have mid-terms tomorrow and we can bring stuff to do for when we're done. Do you think bringing my cube would be too distracting for the people around me? Especially since I've never brought it to school and I don't really talk about speed cubing ever. And my cube is pretty loud.

Ok, I shall answer.
I don't use either cube and I get sub-16 averages.

Personal preference is the answer many people will give you. If they don't say personal preference then I'd say they don't know anything about other cubes other than their own. So read the reviews, buy a cube that you'll like and if you don't like it then you can always buy another one.

How do you time PLL or OLL?

I notice when I press the space bar to start, touch the cube, then press it to stop there is a 0.7 seconds delay.

Do you use a video to time your OLL/PLL or you include/exclude the delay time to start and stop timing?
