I have been OH cubing for 1 1/2 month-ish maybe 2; I have lost track. But I average 22-23 globally 2H and my OH is about 45 second global.
I would guess many people at that speed don't practise OH much; many people don't really practise anything other than 3x3. If you've actually practised OH a decent amount, of course you'll be faster than average; other people will have only practised a little.

Hi guys i have had this question in mind for quite some time now... is it better to break in a cube first then lube or lube it then break it in.. traxxas 50k btw

thanks in advance

Well i think you lube with silicone spray and break it in and wipe out the lube (only if it melts the plastic)and dont use the actual lube (lubix.....)

It depends on the cube. I've had some that never really improved that much without lube and some that would improve allot with only a few drops of Traxxas lube. I've also had a few cubes that seems to be better off with no lube on the parts but only on the screws.

Help Me with this Perm

can someone explain how to execute this perm

R2 U R' y (R U' R' U)*3 y' R U' R2

its a PLL
it seems i cant understand what the number (3) means in the middle of the alg

a video will be a good help
thanks in advance

150 timed cross solves:
Best: 0.14
Worst: 4.25
Mo3: 0.89
Ao5: 1.22
Ao12: 1.53
Ao100: 1.67

So I was doing this and then I thought about look ahead. I can usually see the first f2l pair if my cross is 6 moves or less. Should I be trying to do like an x cross yet? I feel like I don't have much room for improvement on my cross speed my average is 21 sec so my cross is ahead of average.

How can I memorize the color scheme for an advanced cross if I am CN? I avg 25 seconds and I think the things that are checking me from being sub 20 is learning full PLL and my slow 4 second cross. I already know White/Yellow Color scheme.

I don't even memorise my color scheme and I'm sub 20 and CN. Personally, just work on F2L. That is the most important factor right now.

im sub 20 and my cross is 6 sec

Weird. Mats Valk only solves Blue Cross right? Then why does speedsolving wiki list him as a Opposite Color Neutral Solver?
Mats Valk is dual colour neutral. He solves green and blue as his cross colours. And as far as I see it, CN is a bit hyped. You can be sub 8 with being dual colour neutral. Example: Drew Brads and Mats valk. I have seen some people who are sub 10 solving just red cross. So for now just practice cross + f2l on one side. CN can be done later onwards!
Just my opinion. You can do whatever you want :)

I'm not sure what you're talking about, Lucas Etter is nearly sub 8 with fixed white cross. Mats Valk is Dual CN, as well as Cornelius Dieckmann. Drew Brads is not sub 8.
