Well not all competitions have prizes but most of the ones I have been to offer prizes to those who place in 3x3. Most of the time winners get a medal or plaque but at bigger competitions, like nationals and worlds, all of the winners receive something. Usually at the bigger competitions 3x3 winners receive a monetary price, some other events do as well but I can't remember which at this moment.

Here is my Question : How often are there Wolrd Championchips, and how many Cubers are there and what does the winner get?

Every 2 years, for example there was a world championship in 2011 and then again in 2013. The next will be in 2015. At the last world championship there was almost 600 competitors and the winners received a monetary prize as well as puzzles, plaques, and such.

Have some Questions:

1.Can everybody take part in the WCA championship?
2.How many different ways to solve a Cube are there?

I've been doing a lot of solving under low light conditions (TV in the room, no other sources of light). I've never had a problem making out the different shades of a Rubik's brand or a Dayan cube, but I have a very hard time solving a Moyu cube (black Weilong) because the contrast between the colors is too low for me to distinguish.

Aside from getting a set of Dayan colored stickers for a Weilong, what other sets of colors work well in dim light? Where do standard, half bright, and full bright sets fall?

If I buy a set of stickers from The Cubicle for a mini Moyu, will the stickers be custom fitted to "fill out" the cubies on the mini Moyu or will they be smaller squares of uniform shape like the default Moyu stickers on a mini?

I don't recommend solving in dim light too often. It has got to be stressful for your eyes. Anyway, try half brights.

The mini moyu stickers are curved to fit the piece.

Sometimes when I'm waiting for a movie to start I'll get some practice in. When I had my Zhanchi I was able to make out the colors well enough, but I went to see DoFP this weekend and the Moyu took me over 5 minutes to solve because I couldn't distinguish between yellow/white. Blue/green was also kind of hairy.

The theater wasn't actually darkened yet, but I really noticed a difference between my Zhanchi and my Weilong.

I've been gone for a while and my Weilong broke
What're the current "best" cubes on the market now?

Also, what's the current chinese-dealextreme/lighttake type of site ?

The Zhanchi and the Weilong are still kings of the hill.

Moyu just released their next cube, the Aolong, and people swear by it once it's broken in and lubed. There's less acclaim for it out-of-the-box.
