So I was dissembling my MoYu AoSu, but in the process, I lost one of my tiny washers. My question is, are those washers really necessary? I reassembled it, and doesn't seem to have affected the overall performance of the cube. Non the less, if anyone knows where I could get a replacement, let me know. Thanks!

Sorry if this is a bad place to ask this I'm very new to the forum.

Washers don't really matter since the center piece with the screw doesn't actually move on the aosu.

Of the assorted regular silicone lube from the cubicle
which is the best for lubing the internals of a cube?

core: 5
pieces: 2 or 3 depending on how much you want to relube and how fast you want your cube to be

If you only want to buy 1 type, get 4 or 5. Lower number means less viscous so it's more watery and I find that I have to relube more often so I usually stick to 50k (basically weight 5). Higher weight on the pieces give you a slightly gummier cube so go lower if you don't like gummy feeling cubes.

Hi

Am i able to finish edges and 3x3 part at bigcubes like 7x7 if the centers are incorrect?

i know, that cant work at 4x4,6x6.
But whats with 5x5,7x7?

What is a good (and cheap) example of place to organise cubecomp in? (unofficial one btw..)
Thanks...

school, mall, church, park, community center, etc

Depends on how many people will show up and who. There will probably just be a lot of local people since it's unofficial and most people don't want to travel very far to unofficial competitions.

I can only get one weight of lube and I want to get a DIY cube aswell
so should i get weight 4? or weight 3 since it's in the middle?

Is there any possibly way to predict 4x4 OLL or PLL parity during inspection?

The short answer: if you are extremely good at 4BLD, then yes, otherwise no.

If you do a 4BLD-style inspection and quickly trace through all of the edges on the cube, you can see whether or not there is parity. Then you can keep track of whether you have done an even/odd number of inner-layer turns while you solve centers (and accordingly alter your solution at the point where you first have two adjacent centers solved if need be to prevent parity.) That deals with OLL parity anyway. I don't understand anything about PLL parity, so can't answer there.

for pll parity
you need to get the 2 edge case during edge pairing (or forced it)
from there, count the number of cycles for corner, whether it is even or odd
then, when you solve the pair the last 2 edges, do it in such a way so that the number of cycles will be the same with the corner (by same i mean, even and even, or odd and odd), there are two cases for this, either u' R U R' U' F R' F' R u, or d R U R' U' F R' F' R d'

how long did it take you to become sub 30, 50, 1, 1:30, and 2 on the 4x4

a day for sub 2 avg12
6 days for sub 1:30 avg12
44 days for sub 1 avg5, can't find any post one avg12
4 months for sub 50 avg5 (apparently I got a new maru here, I started with maru as well, so it was my second 4x4 and second maru, back then the maru 4x4 was awesome)
and another month for sub 50 avg12

fast forward to 37 months later, and I still haven't got sub 30 avg5

Fangshi illusion

Can I buy two fangshi 54.6 set's and then combine them to make my "own" fangshi illusion?
I can't seem to find the white/black one,so I thought I buy the white and the black one and combine them to make the white/black and black/white one.
