I want to create a cheat sheet for a 3x3x3 cube. I know there are a lot around, but there are some algorithms that I use and find good. So, I want to create a cheat sheet for myself. I want to know if there is some software or online tool at all, that I can use to get the images. Something like this:

~snip~

I want to create images like this. Kindly help me out with this issue.

i figured this would be as good a place as any to ask this, sooooo...

i want to start using my left hand more in solving, and hopefully get it better for general use in one handed. here's the thing though: in just day to day life, my right hand is used more and honestly tends to just be better at doing tasks. even with typing. the more letters there are on the right side of the keyboard, the faster i can type the word. so then i guess the question would be on whether or not there would be a good way to gain better control over my left hand, or perhaps some resources that you may know of?

any help is appreciated :3

Badmephisto's website has a cheat sheet. Check it out.

These are all OLL's and PLL's.

Best way to get better at using the left hand is to use it more. Start with something easy and let it practice the movements a lot then it will get easier. But for OH, if you like your right hand so much then why not just use right hand to do OH? You may just have to relearn some algs.

Start doing a bunch of <L, U> scrambles/solves until it stops being uncomfortable

Yau question:

When I am solving Yau edges, I have practiced both solving them on the left side of the cube and then with the top color facing up (so similar to hoya or reduction pairing). Is there a big difference in efficiency?

I also do the same thing and roughly it is the same. There isnt a huge difference, just practice it out so you get the hang of it.

Are you talking about the cross edges? If so, it is probably better to do them on left. Reason: L4C should be done with cross on left (or right if you are a left-handed turner) rather than cross on bottom, because <U, r, 3r> is better than <R, u, 3u>. Since you are going to do L4C with cross on left, doing the previous step (solving three cross edges) with cross on left as well prevents you from having to do any rotation between the two steps. Eliminating rotations between steps is good for lookahead and solve fluidity.

What next?

Hi everyone,

I've recently hit a plateau and I'm not sure what to do next. I have a 3x3 and a 2x2, both good quality speed cubes.
I've got sub-30 with CFOP for the 3x3. I solve the 2x2 with LBL, and I can also solve it blind with Old Poch for corners.
I've got a couple choices, but I'm not sure what to do next:

a) Learn 3BLD (I already know Old Poch for corners)

b) Learn a new method (Probably Roux or Petrus)

c) Aim for sub-20 with CFOP

d) Buy a 4x4

e) Learn Ortega for 2x2

Thanks!

C, D, and E aren't huge tasks. Ortega is super easy and fun!

As for A, learn m2 for edges. It is super fun and you will love it.

Look under "Choosing a Method" in my signature if you don't like CFOP. Feel free to proceed with 4x4 and 2x2 if you feel like you need a break from 3x3.

Is there a good program for doing PLL training? I know Badmephisto has one, but I'm looking for one that randomly generates PLL's from different angles and without the arrows.

thanks in advance!

I can't seem to upload gifs, (or any images really) every time I try to click select files it wont let me.
I went to the basic uploader and the file says it uploaded, but it didn't. I use windows 7 and my browser
is google chrome. Thanks in advance, RageCuber

It took me literally less than a day to learn ortega, it's really easy. I learned BLD a while ago, although sadly most of the tutorials aren't
that good.
