Can't do it easily. You need a WCA delegate and more complicated stuff going on.

You need experience at other competitions first. You also need to contact a WCA delegate and have them agree to be there to make it an official competition. Looking at the WCA delegates around your area, you will need to at least hold some unofficial competitions, go to some official competitions, and help out a lot at official competitions.
There's much more behind the scenes than just getting the WCA delegate, renting stackmat timers/displays, and getting a venue. Most delegates around the New York area probably will not agree to delegate an official competition with an organizer that doesn't have a ton of experience.

thank you that was very helpful i will try to host a couple of unoffical compotitins first.

now if i hold an unofficial compotition do you have to use the fool dtack mat dis[play or canb you just use the timer. And being unoffical any records would nhot count towards rankings its really only for fun?

i really want a new 4x4 i have a shangshou v3 and it does nothing but pop what should i get?

I'd recommend the MoYu Aosu.

Is there a fast alternative to OLL? Specifically algs that would work well with Fridrich...

I ask because I have heard people say COLL and things like that and I was just curious.

If you're looking for a simple 2 step LL process that's not OLL/PLL, the next best option is probably CLL/ELL, for which you can find algs on the wiki. COLL is an alg set that orients and permutes the corners when all LL edges are already oriented. (Clicky) COLL will give an EPLL (U-perms, H-perm, Z-perm, or skip). If you're interested in other CFOP-friendly variations of things, I suggest you check out things like certain last slot subsets, including Winter Variation, which I prefer over Summer Variation (really, I think recognition for SV is really ******).

I am trying to learn BLD3 with Zane C's tutorial on YT, but where is the video "buffer and target/cycle" that he is reffering to?

Hello guys,
I've learned a LBL method in 2x2 and 3x3.
In 2x2 i have times around 10-25s.
In 3x3 - 40-60s
And my question is - in 2x2 i can start learning now ortega method or still trying to do better times with lbl method?
In 3x3 - intuitive F2L or learn algs? If learn algorytms - which are the most important to learn? How to start with Friedrich Method?

2x2: yes, learn Ortega. Get a DaYan 2x2.
3x3: Get a ShengShou Aurora/DaYan GuHong v2/DaYan ZhanChi. Read this thread.

I dont think thats the torpedoes. It sounds to me like you have a piece of plastic inside one of the pieces. I bet if you took apart every piece youd find a little piece of flash inside one.
