R' U R U' R' F' U' F R U R' F R' F' R U' R

How would you finger trick this alg (Nb perm)?

Also, is partial edge control (to force your OLL into one of the 2-look algs) faster than just using F R U R' U' F' to get all 4 edges facing up?

Assuming you are referring to the ...R U R' F to F' R U' R part of the N Perm, I just regrip; I find that to be much faster than putting my hand in awkward positions to avoid regrips.

As far as partial edge control is concerned, it's not worth it in the long run. (Once you know full OLL.)

Regrip during the U' of F' U' F
Regrip for the last R'.

No, unless it's for very easy cases such as R' F R F' or F R U' R' F'.

New to the forums,
But im modding a mini 7x7 and i was wondering how much you can remove before it doesn't work.
Like how many mm you can. Shave off

If you are really worried about over modding and don't care about time too much, then just mod it a little and try the cube and then do the same thing until you have it about right.

Question: if I mod my shengshou 5x5 how much will it affect the turn speed? Also what peices should I mod? I'm mostly concerned with the outer layers.

Are you referring to Florian mod?
It's quite easy to break if you're notexperienced enough
Personally, though, I find no need to florianmod it, just breaking it in and maybe changing the springs is enough
I believe 1-2 mm wold be safe, though

If you mean chances of having all corners solved, it should be:

3^3 * 4!/2 = 1/324
All corners oriented (3^4/3) * All corners permuted (4!/2)
The number seems off but the math supports it.
You sure? Probability of all corners being oriented is 1/27, correct permutation is 1/6.
1/(6*27) = 1/162.

E: Where you've gone wrong is CP. You've included parity (which is irrelevant when only looking at corners), and didn't remember that any AUF counts as corners being permuted. It shouldn't be 4!/2, it should be 4!/4.

I just realized why it was wrong and was coming back to fix it. But you beat me to it.

Right guys sorry if this has been answered but I'm on iPhone and CBA searching through the 33,000 replies this topic has, so what is the sigma (σ) sign used in cubing?
