Average of 12 video should I speed up?

I made an average of 12, the video is 17 mins long I'm still editing and speeding up the scrambles so it should take like 13-15 mins I'm wondering, should I speed up the solves also? They're around 40 seconds each?

I have had some big cubes for quite a long time but I haven't improved much. I average around 2.5min on 4x4x4 and 7min on 5x5x5. I don't know about 6x6x6 and 7x7x7 because I can't be bothered to time them (they take me too long.)

Is there a way to get fast quickly on big cubes??

Thanks.:)

Well I averaged 2min 15 seconds on 4x4 and swapped to Yau method. My times dropped to avg of 1:50. Then I learned 3-2-3 edge pairing and my times dropped to 1:40. Then I bought a Shengshou 4x4 v4 (v5 is out and its better) and modded it with konsta and florian mods and stickered it with half brights. My average dropped to 1:30. Currently my average is slowly but steadily moving towards 1:20`by simply practicing yau with 3-2-3 pairing. After I reach like 1:10 average I just dont know what to better. For now I suppose that will do, yes?

Better cubes/stickers are catalysts, but mostly practise. And get comfortable with turning big cubes.

i am new to cubing and have only been doing it for around 1 month my average is 1:12 and i can not average sub minute i have been stuck for about a week and use full Pll 2 look oll and intuitive f2l how can i become better

Practice, Practice, Practice.

I was using Intermediate Petrus for 7 years. It was almost 5 months before I broke the 1 minute mark. After a year or 2 I was sub 40, and then never improved again. My record was a lucky 25 seconds for 3 years. But the biggest problem was that I didn't keep learning and I never tried to find new ways to solve simple cases.

This past winter I committed myself to learning Fridrich/CFOP. And I went from doing over 1 minute solves again to beating my old records in just 4 months. Why? Practice, patience, and constantly learning new things.

Your F2L is probably not as intuitive as you think it is, after only doing it for a month. CrazyBadCuber has one of the best F2L tutorials online, but don't stop there. Here's a YouTube playlist I've collected for F2L. They helped me enormously.

So there's been alot of fuzz on the edge pieces of my Fangshi recently, I don't know where it comes from. The core is perfectly clean, it's just the edge pieces on the places where there's friction. Any suggestions on how to avoid it?

Have you lubed the pieces with anything? I put some maru in mine (on the pieces) and it dried out as a white residue on the tracks. Doesn't really affect the performance though.

i had a drop of traxxas in there a week ago, but I think i wiped it out already. No maru on mine. Yea I know, but it just looks bad. I like my cubes to be clean xD

I'm pretty sure it's just residue from the Traxxas. Should disappear by breaking in and cleaning it once a week or so. Other thing is that it might be environmental dust. Getting rid of that is hard but possible. You could just keep the cube in a zip tie bag when youre not using it.

yea I think it's just lint from my backpack and jacket pocket, since that's where I usually keep my cube. Thanks! :D

Hi everybody. I've got a really question that's kind of stupid and weird.

I read in another thread that cubes die after a years or so. Is this true? Because I haven't bought a new cube in over a year (Lubix Lingyun 2 and Lubix Fussiooonnnn), and I'm wondering if I should probably be getting a new cube (the cubes feel kinda slow, but I haven't used any others, so I don't really know).

Eventually, they will "Die", but for now you should probavly clean it out and relubricate it. Not sure though

I have had my guhong v2 for a year, and is better than nearly all my other 3x3's

Well if you were like me when I was a noob and lubed all your cubes with petroleum jelly then yes they will die soon after. But if your treat your cubes with care they should last a long while. Just clean them regularly and lube when they need lube.
