Does lubing make a cube quieter? My Zhanchi is kinda loud. Everyone in my family says it is very loud.

Well, if it's not lubed yet, then yes (although it depends on the lube too)

It may help with diff. oil, but if you put too much of it the sounds you have before lubing are replaced with a lube-related sound... Uhh... Kind of like someone chewed gum with an open mouth really loudly.
anyway, putting in diff oil certainly helps but on varying degrees. My 50mm zhanchi certainly benefited from lubing but it was quiet only for a couple of days for me. I haven't managed to make any cube silent when speedsolving, they all click.

There are three edges which hold into the core. Make sure you have those arranged on different axes, while all touching the same three center pieces.

So you mean, put those three special edges in between these three centres?

on a 2x2 it's 8 i think. on 4x4 and bigger cubes it's not clear yet

Almost all grades of differential oil works great. And pick up a bottle of Zlube or Maru lube, they're like steroids but unfortunately last only a couple of solves. One drop is all it takes though, so a bottle could last you a whole 6 months.

2x2 is 11, 3x3 is 20, 4x4 is between 31 and 63, not sure about anything else.

No better short algs on SS or BOCA, what alg do you use for this case thats sub 1 able? Any of you that use
R' F' R U R U' R' F, besides Teller's way of doing it how do you do it let me know.
I've also experimented with:
y U' L' U L y' U R U' R'(I know two y's in but the triggers are so fast.)

y U' L' U L d R U' R'(Like this but I can still do y U' L' U L y' U R U' R' a little faster)

R U' R' U' R U' R' U R U R'(Dan Harris's alg is cool but 11 moves long)

R' F' R U R U' R' F(Has the most potential, have to work some different fingertricks to get the speed though)
