Taking off torpedoes on a Zhanchi?

I really want to try it taken off, I currently had no problem disassembling the cube, but I'm worried that if I used too much force on the torpedoes, it'll crack or something.

How do I take it off properly?

You shouldn't have to force anything. The edge pieces on Dayan cubes split into two separate pieces. Take the edge apart, then the torpedo can be taken out easily.

I just re-stickered my main (GuHong v2) and used goo gone to remove the adhesive residue, but some (or a lot) of goo gone got inside the cube. I have wiped out and re-lubricated the cube twice. Its still feels sticky, like the goo gone is still in there acting like glue. What should I do?

You could try to apply some "goo gone gone" or else just put the whole cube minus the core in the dishwasher in some sort of "holed" container to keep the pieces in one place.

Stick a blade in between the two halves of the edge piece and tilt it back and forth till it begins to loosen, then pull it apart. The torpedo will be stuck in one of the halves. Just pull it out from there.

I suggest just break it in, the goo gone will eventually wear off. Don't lube it to avoid any reactions, and the goo gone can be removed faster via the friction inside the cube, I believe. That's what I would do though.

Do you have to register to the WCA before going to a competition? How do you do it?

Kind of.
You have to register to compete in the competition, and this may be on the WCA site, maybe via email or some other system, check the website / information about the competition you want to go to for this. Once you go to the competition, your WCA profile will be created with all of your results. You don't need to fill out any forms or anything else, it's all done for you.
