Has anyone ever developed an efficient method by reducing a 6x6 into a 4x4?

So, you reduce a 6x6 to a 4x4, which you solve by reducing it to a 3x3. I don't think it would be that efficient even if someone did it.

Which brings me to another question: I know Rob experimented with Yau on 5x5, but has anyone tried it on 6x6?

Once.
It was miserable, but I'm sure it could be made better if someone cared to practice it.

Problem: i need to get really fast in one week. I am about 30-ish and i need to get the seconds shaven off.
About me: i'm probably an inefficient zz-user and only use half of coll (i think i can handle learning whole coll in one week)
I did some research and i would love to get some help:
1. Aside from the UR-case and similar, i think i don't i really grasp the concept of fingertricks. As my favorite alg is the y-permutation i'm able to do just sub-4, someone on youtube was able to do the same alg reaaaly fast. How is this possible?
2a. Should i cube more to cube faster or should i learn to solve efficiently and try to incorporate it into my cubing style?
2b. I heard a good cross should be done in 7 moves. If i want to cube efficiently, what would be the goal of each zz phase?
3. Are there any wrong/sloppy habits i could have, while i'm not aware of them? (probably as a result of me doing cubing as a 'casual' hobby the past two years)
Thank you very much.

learn efficient EOLine and ZZ blockbuilding
just slow solving and taking time to plan out the EOLine does a large amount of wonders to improving your times with ZZ

practice, depending your algorithm using a better one than what you currently use (duno why you love the y-perm i hate those and learned COLL if only for the single reason of never having to do one ever again)

slow solving for efficiency and lower movecounts

EOL in under 10 moves, F2L in around 30-40, LL whatever that's usually fast enough anyway

wouldn't know unless you posted a video or something, hard to comment on something i don't see.

also since oyu say you're a ZZ solver, there is also a thread in constructive speedcubing for ZZ, you can go check that place out as well.

best of luck to you

Just received my order from Witeden, and it turns out that one of the corner pieces of the Type C-V was improperly molded and doesn't come out all the way like it should, leaving a gap. Any ideas of what I should do? Contact them? Its annoying like this since my finger grabs into the gap. See pic. ThanksView attachment 2349
