The stickerless is ABS, but all of the others are ABS/PVC.

I'm pretty sure Bao said some time ago that all the Dayan cubes are made from ABS now.

It's the plastic mixed in with the lube. Just clean it off when you clean out the whole cube; it's not something to worry about...you can't really stop it

I don't have mine with me right now to compare, but having seen them next to each other and having solved them both, I might say that the rubiks 5x5 is a tad bigger than the ss 6x6, but it might just feel bigger cause there are fewer layers.

Ickathu's right. The Rubik's 5x5 is about 70 mm and the Shengshou 6x6 is about 66 mm. So, yeah, the Rubik's 5x5 is bigger.

Color Neutrality - FMC cross

Hey guys,
does anybody know what's maximum value for number of moves required to build a cross?
If you do the cross on white, it's at maximum 8 moves.
So what's the number of moves for a cross when you're color neutral? :confused:

lol it would be 8, it's 8 moves max to make a cross. period. regardless of the color because the cross is still built the same way regardless of the color

It's not trivial that you can have an 8 move case for all 6 crosses ***.

Assuming that you want the cross to have a definite orientation (so
only one "solved" position), I find

in SHTM.

Average is 5.27, compared with 5.81 (HTM). I used Jaap's solver for
this.

Do a checkerboard and then a superflip. (Like so: F2 B2 L2 R2 U2 D2 U R2 F B R B2 R U2 L B2 R U' D' R2 F R' L B2 U2 F2)

All 6 crosses are 8 movers (in HTM).
