put the logo on the red, blue, white corner. on the white sticker. you could see the white sticker with said logo on in and not be able to see the other sides of the corner, then remember that that logo was on the red, blue, white corner. i hope i explaned that well.

Corner =/= center

I don't see how you can consider an algorithm intuitive. Even if you've figured it out using intuition, you use it as an algorithm to solve a case; you're not using your intuition anymore to solve that case.

what is algorithmic eventually becomes intuitive and vice versa

i thought he was talking about multiple logos. meaning he'd already have one on the center, then be forced to put another one on somewhere else, a corner for example.

There are 6 centers, one on each face. And you can have logos on different coloured faces. Like Dayan logo is actually on clear... you can put it on any face. So I still don't know why you cannot put a logo on every center (or more than one, as the rule goes.)

And I'm not a he. I'm a she. "Speedcubing Mom of 3" (kids). :)

the guy that quoted before me said he, so i said he. i never looked at your original post.

Anyone have issues with the SS 4x4 internal mechanism coming slightly out of alignment and the cube locking up? I had a V3 for a while, then I just ordered a new SS 4x4 and it is a V1, V2, or V4. (Does not have have posts on center pieces)

Wouldn't the same mod that you did on the previous one (I saw your post in the SS internal lock solution thread) work on this one as well?

But to answer your question: I just bought a SS 4x4x4 specificly for BLD solving and the r2 part is a nightmare.
Every 2nd or 3rd r2 move it locks up...

Fot this weekends N8W8 comp I may actually go back to my mini QJ.
Even though it is way too loose and not corner cutting at all the inner slices are soo much better.

When feet solving in competition, can you solve with shoes on?

Article D: Solving With Feet
D1) Standard procedure is followed as described in Article A (Speed Solving).
Additional/special regulations for Solving With Feet are described below.

D1a) The competitor must solve while sitting in a chair, sitting on the surface or standing.
D1b) During the inspection and solve the competitor must only use his feet (with or without socks) and the surface. Penalty: disqualification of the solve.
D1c) No other body parts or other available objects must touch the puzzle. Penalty: disqualification of the solve.

Does this mean no shoes?

edit: I'm not thinking of using shoes in competition, I'm just curious.

Hmm...that should be clarified :p
If feet wasn't MO3 I would say to do one solve with shoes just for the heck of it

It remains that the main problem with that is that you can't start the timer with shoes on but here's a couple solves I did while timing with shoes and keyboard timing:
1:18.68, 1:10.18, 1:04.71 = 1:11.19 mo3

I was thinking this could be a way to encourage feet in competitions because it's a bit less ''disgusting''

I would think people's shoes would be more likely to actually have dangerous germs on them than would people's socks or bare feet.

I suppose if you had specific "speedsolving shoes", though, that would probably work okay - you'd have to put them on before you begin solving, and remove them immediately afterward.

That's a good point too, but do you think this would be possible and help in having more competitions that have feet solving?
