Yes it just messes a lot of things up. I want a few three cycle algs, those would be nice.

The alg (r U r' U')x5 cycles the bottom LF center -> Back U center -> right U center.

So Put an incorrect center in the U face using cube rotation, then find a center that goes ther and using cube rotations put it in the left face, while keeping the previous center in the U face. Then Using U U2 or U' put the incorrect center in the Front right Up slot. then using L moves put the center you need in the DLF slot. <- Setup moves..... Then Execute the alg from above, then undo your setup moves starting with the L face then doing the U faces. Repeat as necessary.

Ive tried it on the virtual one and it works. I hope this helps.

Like wise If you do the alg in reverse, it cycles backwards. So the inccorect center piece would be in the BU slot.

EDIT: If it helps here is the virtual http://msscoventry.freehostia.com/Games/FTO/FTO.htm

I found a different solution that switches 2 centers but it is really slow. Ohh well.

that works too.

Is a 43.25 Ao5 on a crazy 3x3x2 fast? I have no baseline to compare to. I've only has it a few days and want to see if I'm improving, or still need a ways to go. I know ppl can solve a normal one in about 15. Im around 23.

While on the topic of 3x3x2, the standard method is bottom edges bottom corners top corners top edges. Ive been tinkering and I figured out how to place the last bottom corner and permute the top corners at the same time, 6 algs totals, all easily done in a few seconds. Would it be worth putting in the time to get the recog down for the method, its difficult, or would using the standard method be better?

Does the lunhui have the really "pointy" corners and edges like the guhong, or are they rounder? I'm not talking about the mechanism, I'm talking about the cube itself.

so im toying with roux just cause i like it and everything i've read on edge orientation for step 4 doesnt make sense to me anyone have some advice?

take a solved cube - do M' U M

See how RU FU LU and DF are flipped?

now doing M' brings FU and FD into the top layer, U' swaps FU + FD with LU+RU and then M returns the centers to normal, flipping LU and RU with them.

that's the most basic way to do 4a, using combinations of (M' U' M) with MU turns in between.

Of course you can also use (M U M') or (M' U' M') etc

this is just a basic post, refer to these links for more detailed info

Some times you see algs broken down into (). Learn them one () at a time. repeating the () part over and over will eventually get you back to a solved cube. Just takes long or short depending on the alg.

And the 5x5 should only need one new alg, unless your going to learn all L2E cases.

r U2 r U2 [R] U2 r U2 Rrw' U2 l U2 r2

I do it (r U2 r U2') [R] (U2 r U2' Rrw' U2) l (U2 r' Llw)

Thats my L2E alg. and the only one I need beside the 4x4 edge alg.
