Yep. Totally confused on the core....anyone know of a video?

If you can wait until tomorrow afternoon,
I can make a video of how to dissasemble and reassemble. and lube along the way.

I used lubix, and I recommend it.

I would do it tonight, but the light in my room is horrible unless it is day time.

Thanks fresh. I got help from a friend and i ws stuck on the center pieces. They wouldnt go. I'll try your suggestion of tightening it as far as it goes.

edit: Got a problem. They go in fine now. But like the center caps dont aline with the core so i cant turn the ball core at all. They dont line up. If you dont understand what Im talking about I can make a video showing you. Its hard to explain. I dont know what went wrong...

I know what you did wrong, this is the reason I said the dayan was a pain. Ill show what I meant in the video, but basically, you have a piece under a piece, instead of over a piece in the 2x2 core part.

The Dayan is in no way a pain to assemble. It's honestly just as easy as a 3x3 with a few more steps because it's bigger. If we were dealing with some elaborate mech like in the X-Cube or V-6 I could understand the problem but I find my Dayan one of my easiest cubes to assemble and disassemble.

My 6x6 is easy. The hardest part about the dayan was the centers, mostly the last 4 centers tho.

The centers are the "hardest" part of you could even say they're hard. Worst thing that can happen is you put in one of the pieces so that it's not sitting in it's place correctly causing it to be out of place at an odd angle but doing what I described above easily solves that problem. The most intimidating thing about the cube is the first time you take it apart and after that it's all very easy and simple. I find assembling and disassembling cubes to be relaxing so to me it's always fun to take apart a new cube. My Square-1 is a pain though. I need to take it apart and clean it out which I'm putting off. But the Dayan is very easy.

For 4x4x4 edges, how much difference (speed-wise) is there between a beginner edge pairing method (one at a time) and a more advanced method?
With the advanced edge pairing+A LOT OF PRACTICE, times can be very different.
Should I take out a tab/stalk from each of my Gu Hong corners? Will it be better?

Try it out, without losing the pieces. I wouldn't take them out.

That'd also make the V-7 illegal so I doubt it will be illegal.

I need an alg that will rotate a center 90 degrees. I'm solving a picture cube and two centers are misoriented by 90 degrees.

Doesn't the pillowedness of the new V-2 make it illegal for comp use? you can kinda see more than three sides at a time...

Is there even a point to having a pillowed 2x2, lol.

Has anyone tried one yet?

I'm wondering if they fail epicly or not.

Has anyone heard from CubeMasta321 in the past few days? He's supposed to be trading me a puzzle and I have been contacting him but get no answer. No I haven't sent him the puzzle's he wants yet.

Advanced 4x4 centers method? I feel as if my way of doing them one side at a time is inefficient...

To the extent of my knowledge, there is no advanced method. Just work on getting color neutral, and learning the layout of your colors perfectly. This will decrease your times, and delays.

When I first started, I always did Y/B sides first, and after doing the third center, I had to think of which centers went where. Now Im a lot better at it.
