Could you restring a magic so it has a different pattern to solve it and of so would it still be legal? By pattern I don't mean the pattern of rings I mean the motions you do to solve it.
What algorithm do you use for orienting the corners in the bowtie OLL?
I'm using R' F' L' F R F' L F now and it works, but I'm not a huge fan of it or any of the others on the wiki so hopefully you guys will have some better ones.
Do you mean algorithm and not method? Do a y' then do : F' (r U R' U') (r' F R F) Basically its F' then sexy move then sledgehammer. But the beginning R moves are lowercase.
Is it preferred to say Cross on Right or Cross on Back? The cross is on back but it's basically the opposite of cross on left.

3c) Competitors must use any colour scheme for cube puzzles, as long as the puzzles show one colour per face in solved state. For other puzzles competitors must use any variation that has the same moves, positions and solutions as the original puzzle

Note that if you don't execute it with all the rs and such it's: F' L F R' F' L' F R. Inverse that to get R' F' L F R F' L' F which is very similar to his algorithm.
I just got my order of cubes in which I got my long wanted sq-1 and juggled around with it for a while but still haven't learned to actually solve it further than the cubeshape. Wat learn now?
I was hoping an answer like "well there are x common sq-1 methods: a, b, c" but you know, I will go and try to solve it on my own, already fixed everything except for an opp parity on top.

Very explicative, but I will stick with Stefan's video about LL I don't feel like learning new algs right now, but finding them out this way, seems more puzzle feel to me.

What I can think of is
-Color distortion
-different stickers (white and black)
-Different logo color if you care so much
-Possible different colors of the internal pieces?
-White is sold in more places like amazon.
