Why does my Guhong suck so much? I keep hearing all these great things about it? I lubed it and it is still not smooth at all and pops a lot.

Is it your first speedcube? Did you really expect some magical cube that can cut your times in half?

Turn each screw 1/4 turn and test until the popping in very minimal. For it not being smooth, break it in...

Maybe you need to lube it with something like lubix or maru lube because CRC and jigaloo wont help it all that much also if it is popping then tighten the screws a little and it will be better.

You have to go out and buy them. The adapters don't come with the stackmat...obviously there is a place to get it.

In australia I wouldn't know a name of the store, but go to your local electronics store..

And yes, it is, you shouldn't really need a guide. You can see plenty through 2 sides as it is..

after much tribulation i was unable to find good algs for the 2 f2l cases where the top colors are the same and not paired? Im trying to avoid cube rotations and i havent found a good intuative solution. i would show the cases with the cube maker thing but sadly i dont know how to use it...:fp

First you need a language for describing the situation = names for the cases, that and the solutions you are looking for you may find in the wiki : [wiki]F2L[/wiki]

So what are the verdicts on the X-Cube 4x4? Is it worth the purchase or should I just stick with my Dayan+MF8 for now and upgrade when need be?

Please post your thoughts on the X-cube only if you have one or have used one speculation doesn't help me much here.

I absolutely love my xcube. It's my main. Dayan is very good so it's your call whether you wish to use the xcube instead.

Sadly, I've got dial-up so video reviews are a little out of the question for me as they take hours to load completely. Any other thoughts or scaled down text based reviews of the cube would be great though.

Rural Virginia. We're actually right smack in the middle between Richmond and Williamsburg. We could get high speed internet, but it's about $50 more a month and like $300 just to run all the necessary cables etc. My roommate and I have decided to just save some cash and deal with it.

worth it. I havent even finished breaking it in, and i can already tell its gonna be wonderful. Not having to worry about core misalignment is a great feature.


Question about LingAo magic:
Is your lingao magic a lot smaller than a normal rubiks brand magic? I just got mine from lightake and I think they sent me the wrong one because it is a lot smaller
