i can do both quite well and i've had a 2 sec drop in my times because of it but i find the R F R' F' to be difficult to look ahead with at times. most times i just use it for a case 3 f2l since i can just R2 right into the alg and not have to worry about dislodging pair already set.

To be a cuber who makes sub 15s , how long should my plls (all 21) take?

Are there any tested mods to make my mini 52mm alpha cube less locky and reverse corner cut?

My maru 4x4 core came out of alignment yesterday. I've had it for around 4 months and it's never done it. Now it won't stop coming out of alignment. I make one slice, and the core is partially misaligned. Not stuck, just maybe <20 degrees off, so it locks up, and the core has to "corner" cut to regain alignment. It's also been completely coming out of alignment, where it gets stuck misaligned, and it takes over 10 minutes to fix. How do I fix this? I wasn't doing this before.

I once think it is different than the accomplishment thing. That made me wants to make the thread, and then the punchmaster took down the thread. lol

My f2l lookahead is horrible! I can only track corner pieces. In order to track edges too I have to turn really slow then rotate the cube to find the edge! Does anyone have a effective technique to help me?

Isn't using Niss(sp?) in FMC illegal?

E2e) The solution of the competitor must not be in any way related to the scrambling algorithm. Penalty: disqualification of the solve.

If you weren't given the scramble, but just a scrambled cube, you wouldn't be able to come to a Niss solution.

4x4 OLL edge flip parity

av5:7.03 av12:6.71

would that be considered fast.
just started using the U2 fingertrick and have increased my time by about 2 seconds.

what do the pros get on this alg

i use the garron alg
r U2 [r] r U2 r U2 r' U2 l U2 r' U2 r U2 R' U2 r' U2

how is a Personal Best thread different from an Accomplishment Thread...is not a Personal Best an accomplishment? If somebody gets a personal best, they will most likely post it in the accomplishment thread...

Pros can get the parity alg in around 3 seconds
Btw what is a good lube for Maru 4x4 other than Maru? Does jigaloo work?

just got the maru, if you have lubix id recommend popping out an edge piece and puting some on the surfaces of it. a few pieces would do better then just scramble for a while ro work it in. jigaloo works fine to, but lubix is better. the maur lube worked amazing for about two minutes then i guess it dried and didnt do near as well. crc doesnt work that great.

which F2L insertion is faster (U R U' R') OR (R' F R F')?
Well, for most people it's the first one because nobody really likes fronts, but it varies per person. If you want to see which one is quickest for you perform both and whichever one your more comfortable with, use.

5b5) If, after the solve, non functional parts of the puzzle are still defect (like a centre cap of a cube) or not fully rotated (like a 5x5x5 centre piece twisted in its spot), but the puzzle is otherwise unambiguously solved, the puzzle is considered solved. (discretion of the main judge)
So, it would depend on your pop. For example, if you were to have a single edge pop on a 3x3 I would expect this to be solved (as it is impossible to flip a single edge on a 3x3, thus the cube should be considered unambiguously solved).

However, I've been wrong in the past.
