I was wondering if its bad to cube with water in your cube. I was cleaning out the lube in my cube so i put the pieces in water to clean the lube. Then there was some water left on the pieces but i still went ahead and put it together. It felt weird so i took the pieces out immediately to let them dry. Is this bad for the cube and will water ruin my stickers or pieces. Thanks in advance

Its not bad as long as you're using a store-bought or a cube without a screw spring mechanism. Otherwise, yes, dry out your cube before using it.

i was using a haiyan memory. In other words screw spring structure. But i mean there wasnt that much water it was only a bit because i dried it off with a towel but not completely. Do u think i should take out the screws to clean them or is it going to be ok

I dried everything. The cube feels fine and all but there is black residue in a ring shape on the core where every centre is. Might this be from the plastic or is it rusting. Should i take apart the screws to check if anything went wrong. Keep in mind i only did this 30 minutes ago

I have just started 4x4 seriously.
for 4x4 OLL, I do 2L OLL and I have no problem.
but about PLL, sometimes I think it is a G perm but when I do it, I see it was a parity error!
I can't distinguish when to swap 2 adjacent or opposit edges fast.
what can I do?

Well, the key is, when you have what looks to be a G perm, look at how many 2x1 'blocks' there are. A true G perm will only have one, but if there is PLL parity there will be two blocks, and you can apply whatever algorithm you feel most comfortable with to fix the parity.

I'm sure you could. I remember seeing a few videos where people used food grade on cubes and it worked fine.

here's my question...how did I get a sub-30 average in the weekly comp..and now i can't even get a sub-35 average?? I actually did better in the weekly comp than i normally do???

*Ahem. Well sonny, cubing is just like running. You aren't always at your best every time. The end.
But yeah. Since cubing is a skillish activity, your times won't always be good once you get a good time. Just keep practicing.

Consistency can be hard to achieve. Just keep practicing and it will come.
