What is the average time for a good LBL 2x2 solve? I wanna know about where I am for my first day of 2x2.
Btw Im average 10 sec.

depends on the definition of "good." Rowe Hessler's good would be probably under a second while a 3 min+ good would probably be much higher.

Ok then. Good for someone who just started.

Fine then. Learning Ortega. :)

cll ftw ^^
I'm a 2x2 noob and I average 5 with half of CLL learned.

What's a good way to get sticker residue off cubes? I've soaked the pieces in water for about 2 days & then tried wiping off all the excess with a towel but It doesn't work.

Don't soak in water.

Water is polar. Nail Polish remover is adequate just use sparingly and rub vigorously.

White spirit also works brilliantly. My gigaminx had loads of gunk on it and all of it went with a little bit of white spirit and a cotton bud.

I have a decision to make.

I am trying to decide between a 6x6, a pyraminx crystal, and a TF gold cube.

They are all roughly the same price and I only want to spend money on one.

My question is if the pyraminx crystal is difficult or not (with the knowledge of megaminx). I certainly don't want the pyraminx crystal if it turns out to be a fancy looking megaminx. I was terribly disappointed when I got my megaminx and found that all of the algorithms I needed I knew from 3x3. I want a challenge but I don't find the TF golden cube to be too terribly attractive.

I really don't want a 6x6 for any other reason than to fill my 1-7 collection. I'm not asking you to make up my mind but I am asking what you would get (assuming/pretending you have none of these). Thanks

Just get the crystal. From what I've seen/heard, it's not the same. It's like a combination of pyraminx + weird megaminx, but if you try it on your own, it could be quite a challange.

Well that's about all I needed to hear. Thanks.

How does a 4x4 cube like a meffert or QJ or Rubik's get loose? It has a ball core and I don't quite understand.

Friction against plastic wears off.

In competitions, do you have to solve it from three separate rings to connection or reverse or something?

From 3 separate rings to 3 connected rings

Yay! My second negative time on JNetcube! I mean, I am crazy good at 3x3x3 right? We all know this. But I had no idea just how good I was! I inspected, did my solve, hit the timer, and BAM!

Oh I am awesome!

;)

Chris

P.S. Seriously though, does anyone know why JNetcube does this? It wasn't even like my time was 48 seconds, just with a negative sign. It felt about as fast as the solves that came just before

It started from negative 60? That makes sense if it felt it took the same time as the other solves.

Is that an optimal (or close to optimal) 4x4 program that I can use for finding algs under 12 moves (preferably graphical)?
