i've a question...

is there a good way to practice M M' ??

i always stuck after the M (i.e M U2 M2)
when i'm going to do the M2... the cube just.... STUCK....
is it me... or the cube???
LOL

Eh, minor bump ;)

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC P73 with a 256 MB memory stick. For videos, it can only record 5:47 which is a pain since i cant do longer videos. I want to know if there is a way to hook it up to the computer and record from the computer. Like some people with webcams can see themselves on the moniter while they record. Is it possible for this type of camera?

They're obsessed with the rules.
I have no idea why people don't like bumping old threads, but people don't like repeat threads because they talk about questions that have already been answered multiple times.

Another question.

How many ways can 5 edges, The 4 on the U face and DF, be permuted and oriented?

For permutations, there are 5! = 120
Orientation, 9, so total 120 x 9 = 1080 cases.

Permutation, I agree at 5! = 120

But for orientation, 9?
Maybe I'm missing something, but if every edge has 2 orientations, then that would be

2^5

If the rest of the cube is solved, then we have to put a restriction into place, so that would be (2^5)/2, which would be 16.

But if we assume that the rest of the cube is unsolved, and therefore parity is not an issue, we have 32.

So, if the rest of the cube is solved, or more like the rest of the corners are oriented, then we have 120*16=1920 cases. But if they are not necessarily all oriented correctly, we have 120*32=3840 cases.

Am I missing something?

Depends on the computer.

If you've got a Mac, then you can just use the free Photo Booth application that comes with every mac.

With a Windows-running computer, I'm not sure, but I think Camtasia Studio can do it ($299, but there's a free version).

I am the evil one who has bumped this thread.

I asked a question wondering how many algs there were for MGLS after searching for it for awhile. But I searched a bit more, found the answer, and deleted my post (presumably before anyone saw it, since no one answered).

Edit: What is FMC?
