Im about to try to learn some pll agls... Are there some that occur more frequently than others b/c if there are id like to learn those first.

Yep, the Gs are short and have the same patters that make them relatively easy to remember. And because there are 4 of them they 2/9 solves willhave a G perm. Just be sure to recognise them by where the 2x1 block is in relation to the headlights, not by how the pieces actually move (that's too confusing).

What are the rules about asking questions?

No rules. Just ask. Though if it's a generic question, consider searching first (actually, search first anyway).

Anyone have a link showing g perms with headlights and 2x1 block instead of chaotic arrows all over the cube?

Just try doing it intuitively; it's quite easy.

Do one algorithm - inspect. Okay. Coolio; neat.
Do the other algorithm - inspect. Okay. Coolio; neat.
That's what I did...

However, if there is a link, I suppose it would help. I don't have one though.

Or just use the page on the wiki for PLL and scroll down to the G Permutation. Ignore the arrows. Look at the colours on the sides. See the headlights? See the 2x1 block? Yeah; that's it.

You would have to do each alg twice, to get the case for recog purposes.

On G perms with chaotic arrows, the only two blocks without arrows is the 2x1 part, and the headlights is the same as recog the 3 cycle corners.

Think of it as 4 cases

Ga - 2x1 block on right, headlights on left
Gb - 2x1 block on right, headlights on back
Gc - 2x1 block on left ,headlights on right
Gd - 2x1 block on left, headlights on back

Thats how I reco them, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqocAQleSGM - The algs I now use. :D

And if you still don't understand here are your colorful pictograms.

Has anyone ever made a fully functional edible 3x3? (out of chocolate, marshmallow, ice, anything that you can safely eat)

Well I think it would be possible with things that don't melt easily. (Like chocolate and ice.) You could probably mold pieces, and a core (and maybe the screws and stuff) out of like, a hard type of cheese or something. :p BUT, I have no idea if anyone has. This deffinately made me want to try it though. :D

AND, what is the best method for lubing a Maru 4x4? If it helps, I'm using diff. oil to lube it.

I'm SO going to try making one. It sounds delicious.
