Wee algorithm question... I've recently started relearning the cube after a 7 year break, I'm taking it easy with a slow F2L, 2 look OLL and 2 look PLL, but there is one stage in the PLL that slows me down a lot. I know a nice algorithm for swapping two adjacent corners, but I don't know how to swap two opposite corners. I could do the one I know twice, but I've got a slow cube so I'm trying to minimise repetition as much as possible.

So can anyone recommend a good algorithm for swapping two opposite corners without messing up the OLL. It's State 2 on this page if my description wasn't clear: http://www.learn2cube.com/beginners/step6

Thanks.

Y-perm is a very nice alg.

F (R U' R' U' R U R') F' [(R U R' U') (R' F R F')]

Thanks very much for the Suggestions, The Y-perm does look really good, but I'm curious what one is the E-perm? Could someone tell me which number it is on this page, cause I haven't heard anyone use that term before. Thanks again.

#3 is the E permutation.

If you already know 2-look PLL, you should already know the E-perm. :)

I'm currently at the same stage as you: using F2L, 2l OLL and 2l PLL. :D

Well that's interesting. Mephisto linking to his evil twin Badmephisto.

On various competition websites, there is an events tab. Some events would say "1 Round" while others would say "Combined Final". Is there any difference?

combined finals have cut off times, the cut off is like the first round and the people that make the cutoff is like the final

My 4x4x4 breakdown. What should I work on?

Centers - 15-20
Edges - 35-45
3x3x3 - 35-45

3x3

i mean i know one COLL case, not set :p
It's this one (easy to memo)

U' sune U' anti sune

lolz

and its still 78 on there because there was no point updating those #'s in the sig (especially the total #) til i got the correct numbers

so if i exclude PLLand COLL it will be 472. much appreciated <3

edit-to set that COLL up backwards, execute backwards

I'm sure this has already been asked but I couldn't find an answer with the search function.

What is the cable needed to plug a Stackmat into a computer. I know it's an audio jack lead but what's the tiny port into the actual timer itself?

Cheers.

bumpity bump.
