Hi! so I didn't want to make a new thread so I thought id post here, hoping I can get some answers. Im debating if I should learn pll for 3x3x3 or cll for 2x2x2. I currently know 4LLL for 3x3 and Ortega for 2x2, with PRs of 28.4(without any skips) and 4.84 respectively. This is probably more of a personal decision, but I just wanted to see if any of you had opinions on this. Honestly I like 2x2 more, but I like them both a lot, cll is just a little bit scarier I guess with the difficulty of recognition. Thoughts?

Go for PLL first. I think it will be easiest to learn for the level you are at. CLL can wait until you are much faster at 2x2, that way it will have the greatest effect on your times. Although, it doesnt take long to learn PLL so you can just learn CLL after (im not sure if i would recommend that, though, as it would be a very large and difficult jump in method)

How many algs would be necessary to orient the four corners and lse for roux? I'm thinking about zz porky for roux but to make it more efficient I thought about combing CMLL with EO. I think this is kcll.

anyone have an alg optimiser program or an applet from a website where I put in an algorithm and it shows me the shortest one possible with the same effect?

I think Cube Explorer would be the best bet. Enter the original algorithm in the "Enter Maneuver" text field, then click "Apply", then click "Add and Solve", and THEN check the "Optimal" button and click the green arrow.

Sounds like a bit of work, but it's not really :D
