i dont have time to do the calculation atm, but its approx
40 CLL x 12 EPLL - some for symmetrical H CLL cases, + 21 for PLL

based on my calcs, that makes ZBLL cases ~ 501 - those sym H cases
so 396 is way off

edit: i do have time actually. H COLL cases that have 2 bars on the top each have 4 symmetrical cases, 4 rotations of U perm.
therefore 501 - 4 - 4 = 493

I thought CLL had 42 algorithms?

Prehaps I could explain to you how I came up with 396 and you could tell me why it didn't work, but that would be lengthy to post on a One Answer Question Thread.

What would be the best way to do "f2l" on a megaminx? (everything but the last layer after the star)

Doesn't really matter too much as long as your 3x3 F2L is efficient enough. 1 thing I suggest is solving in a fixed order. What I do is white f2l first, then add in the 2 purple cross edges, then the 3 purple pairs, then the dark yellow cross edge, then the 2 yellow pairs, then the blue edge, then the 2 blue pairs. Once you get to the last 2 faces, what I like to do is either put the red edge where the green edge needs to go, or the green edge where the red edge needs to go, then I do the pair that has green/yellow/red on it and then solve it like a V shape, Then you should have 2 pairs remaining. My most recent YouTube video is 2 megaminx example solves if you would like to watch it :)

Yes CLL has 42 unsolved cases, and 1 solved case. combine it and for your ZBLL case there are 43 different possibilities for CLL.
However, these extra 3 cases are when orientation is already done, and it's either adj swap (T), diag swap (Y), or solved. therefore, i don't count them since the amount of symmetry is too damn high! to try to work with. it's easier to just count all these cases as PLL. for example, the solved CLL is just EPLL.

so you only count "COLL" cases, which generally means you only include unoriented corners. oriented = PLL.

and if your solution to get to 396 is so complicated, maybe that's why your answer is so far off. my solution was like 1 line and maybe that's all you need? try simplifying it and just doing the basics. what i did at first was EP x CLL for an approximation of 480.

I know stickerless cubes are illegal in competition, but do you think it's much of a problem to set UWR with a stickerless? It's unofficial after all so there can't be anything bad about using a stickerless, is there?

maybe you should go check the unofficial rules :P
well actually, i doubt anyone capable of setting the UWR would have any reason to be using a stickerless cube, since they must be going to competitions regularly. interesting question though.

Hey everyone..!
I have Recently attended my first official Competition..
And Tried Others Zhanchi too...What I Found was that My zhanchi was slowest..
And We Use the same Lube..
How Can I make It faster..?
Should I do Any Mod to it?

I felt the same going to my first cubing meet :D

Tension it properly, and clean the dust off your cube.

Tensioning can be done pretty much easily by yourself, but if you need a guide, cyoubx has a great one.

Also probably look into CrazyBadCuber's lubrication guide :D

Ok Thanks..
Btw I have tried Tensioning with Cyoubx method before, It made my Cube Tight, But yeah it made my cube able to cut 45 degrees..
Should I do It again?

If it can cut 45 degrees, then tensioning is pretty much good, though if you don't like it you can change, you only have to lube it properly, I would suggest following CBC's tutorial, it helped me a lot

Thanks =)

The reason I said that is that I didn't want Michael coming in and giving me some BS answer when he has no idea what he's talking about.

Ah well, we all experienced that at some point :D When you get used to your colour scheme you'll improve really quickly, then sub2 takes a tiny bit of effort, and sub1:40 is where it's beginning to feel hard. At least that was it for me, you might be able to do even better.
