i'm learning CLL for 2x2.
is there ANY way to memorize all the algs, cause they're quite hard to recognize...

Orange and red are opposites, white yellow opposite, blue green opposite. F, B, L, R, U and D are just to denote the relationship of the stickers involved. So if the alg is a L R F F, means the top (or left or whatever, depends on where the stickers labelled L and R are, of course) are opposite colours, which could either be (white and yellow) or (orange and red) or (blue and green), and FF means the other two remaining stickers are the same colour, and it's a different colour than the ones already labelled L/R.

3x3 and Sand. HELP!

So i saw thwart's video on him putting sand into a 3x3 and using this to grind down the pieces. But the thing is, i Think there is tons of sand stuck in the core, even after washing. It truns worse than before and i wonder if anybody else ever had this problem and if they solved it. The Tricky part is that i have a rubkis brand 3x3, so no screws etc. The cube is kinda valuable to me please dont post things like throwing it into the trash etc. A big :fp on my part. I hope i can fix this

You have to go to a WCA competition.
When you register for your first competition, then compete, your ID will be created once the results for that competition go online (Usually a few days after the comp ends)

To add to that Your WCA ID code should be something like 2013abcd01.
The first 4 numbers represent the year you registered.
The 4 letters represents the first 4 letters in your last name.
Finally the last 2 numbers represent the person like lets say someone already has your WCA ID the the lats 2 numbers will change to make so your the 2nd or so on depending on who came before you.

The One Answer Question Thread

Hey

They are obvious and also as kir said on gilles site. You may wanna look into optimal EO+ULUR solving though, though you will need to find algs yourself and develop the skill rather than learning algs. Experiment with it...

Ok, so I finished re-modding the corners on my Vcube 5 like MMAP says to. i realized i had done enough last time, and i got rid of everything this time. it's almost as smooth as the rest of the plastic. but i have a problem. it still clicks a bit between the outer 2 layers. is there any more places to sand to get rid of the clicking mech? or any other mods to do on the vcube 5 to make it smoother? thanks.

At this point you just have to break it in and it'll go away after a bit.
