I got my first speedcube in the mail a few days ago, (its a zhanchi) and I was wondering if putting lube in it (it already turns pretty fast)would make it last longer. If so, how long?

If you think it already turns very fast, you probably don't want any lube in it, although there still might be some already applied to it. This is because as someone mentioned, it may turn too fast and overshooting is a very common "con" for a Zhanchi. Leave it the way it is if you think it is fast enough.

I think a thread should be made for that purpose. anyway, 4BLD: Shengshou Version III

GuHong V2 with no torpedoes= GuHong V1?

I was wondering if the GuHongv2 will be exactly the same as a V1 GuHong if I just took out the torpedoes. I was thinking about buying a GuHong V1 because I only have bought 1 GuHong in my life (it is the original GuHong that are supposedly better) and I wanted to see if there was a difference. I will be getting the GuHong V2 no matter what but will I need a GuHong V1 solely for the purpose of its feel? Or can I get the exact same feel as a GuHong V2 without torps?

Why is Cornelius so fast?
In Hessen Open 3x3x3 first round he did a 9.xx and everyone shouted out something like "Baaad solve".
In Finals he broke the avarage ER^^...
This guy will beat Faz in next WC.

I'm pretty sure you have to pay to be a premium member, and then you can change your username once.

Edit: Ninja'd.
oooooo I like that. This forum has really been the biggest hub for cubing. I'll definitely do that.

another quick ques. Does anyone know if I can still get Izolube anywhere? I can't find it on puzzleaddictions anymore. If not, is there another clone that doesn't cost as much as Lubix?

If you ask him, he might sell you some, but I don't think he has the applicator syringe tips. Alternatively you can buy just normal silicone differential oil from eBay or Amazon for less $$$

This might look like a dumb question, but how do you lube a 4x4 using Traxxas/Lubix? I can only seem to find tutorials that use CRC or other kind of spray, which I don't have. I have a full bottle of Traxxas, might as well use it! Thanks!

For a dayan cube:

for shengshou-ish cubes, I would say it's something similar to lubing a 3x3: if you take off a layer of a 3x3/4x4 you can lube all the internal surfaces by putting lube on the "circle".

any opinions on the best 5x5, pyraminx, and megaminx? any opinions on which i should get first? also, how does the megaminx rank in terms of difficulty? (ive never gotten to play around with either a pyraminx or megaminx but can solve the 2x2 - 5x5 (~30 sec 3x3))

thanks in advance :)
