Is it better to get stickers or tiles for megaminx? I don't want to spend 11 bucks on 1 set of stickers.
Also does F2 size stickers look better on dayan cubes (mostly guhong and zhanchi) or standard size?
It's all a matter of opinion. I hear more people like tiles on their megaminxes, but I've always preferred stickers.

As for the guhong and the zhanchi, the guhong uses normal sized stickers. The zhanchi can use either; I'd recommend the F2 stickers though. I used normal cubesmith stickers on my zhanchi and they just barely fit the pieces.

I bought one with stickers, and I regret that! I think it is easier to replace the tiles with glue. When the stickers breaks it is hard to see what colour it is:(

I think I soon have to buy new stickers or maybe buy a new minx.

I absolutely hated CFOP so I probably wouldn't have practiced it as much.
I was constantly improving with CFOP, I never stalled with any method yet...

So.. belt next??
I like to play around with Roux. It can put a smile on my face when I realise that instead of a l' U l insert I can just do a F' for first block. Oh, and I really like the MOO part.

Or get one of Simon's old ones... they are guarenteed to give you great times

Yes yes F' is just delicious. And so is mooing, those cows are just so juicy :)
Belt? I tried Petrus, Waterman, 'waterman', and all the other stuff, but I think only Roux will be my favourite method...

is it recommended to mod the SS 5x5 or is there no need?
It depends. Some people can turn accurately enough so that lockups are never a problem. On the other hand, lockups can cause some people a lot of trouble, and that's when I'd recommend to mod it. Of course, modding it even if you can turn accurately never hurts.

What kind of mods should you do? I haven't got my SS 5x5 yet, but I know how my SS 4x4 can lockup...

Is there a thread on the 48 point edge mod?
Nothing comes to mind, but do you really need an entire thread just for that mod? There's a video that shows how to do it, I'm not sure what more anyone would need.

But I'm not sure if it works on the SS 4x4. I did see this mod a while ago for the 4x4, but I haven't tried it so I'm not sure how well it works.

I'm trying to get into fewest moves solving and got 51 moves with CFOP which is obviously inefficient. My question is, what method do most people learn when first starting out with fewest moves? What method would you recommend?

I would say Roux. Or petrus. Block building methods.
