(yes I read the FQA section :P )

Hello! I recently started getting into solving, I currently use the method that Mathmeeting used in his tutorials (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crqDdk3J-S0) (and I was wondering what that method is called?) and I can solve it at around 1:20 average (my records 1:13). I am going to start to learn the Fridrich Method as I like the idea behind it, and I am ordering a Dayan GuHong as I have been solving on this cube and I feel it has really shut me down (http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Shengsh...30972830681?pt=Puzzles_US&hash=item1e7e96cbd9). anyway, now that I will hopefulyl start getting good at SSolving, I was wondering what the best/most popular Lubricating method and oil(?) (not sure what the lubs are called) and where I can purchasing the oil(?). Also, what method did the 2 top guys ( the guys with the 5:55 record and the 2nd guy with the 5:66 one) were using when they solved. Another thing, what average should I have before I start joining competitions? Also, and this one is more of a personal question, how long did it take you to get into the 20-15s averages? Thanks in advanced! :)

for your lubing question this should help how to lube your cube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4paID_54lQ , pretty much everycube is like this when you lube it. also i know http://thecubicle.us/index.php sells a pack of five differnt weight lubes so its up to you to find what you like.

as for what method feliks used im pretty sure it was CFOP with the Winter variation for F2L.

Hope this helps.

I would like to change my username.I created this account long time ago but now I really want to use it as I have tarted speedcubing again but I'd like to change my username.is it possible sir?

What is pseudo cross?

When you form a cross but have it misaligned (D / D2 / D' away from solved). Then, before you align it, you insert an edge or corner to create Xcross.

I know I can change profile picture (the photo that displays on my WCA profile) but what if I don't like it anymore, how can I remove it?

I need help learning the 2x2 and 4x4.

What is the best method for solving the 2x2? Or rather, what is the most popular method used in competitions and any good tutorials for them on youtube? (with advance techniques and algorithms)

What are some advance techniques in edge pairing for the 4x4? Im pairing a dedge piece one at a time at the moment. I know that the crazybadcuber made a tutorial for his way, but he doesn't really do a good job at explaining how to pair up the other edges without messing up your centres. Preferably a video tutorial, that is very clear and goes relatively slowly.

Also, other than referring to the wiki, is there a video teaching you all the OLL and PLL parity cases for the 4x4? Again, I know that the crazybadcuber has made videos on this, but I don't think that he has included all the PLL parity cases.

I don't own either cube, but I can tell you what I've gathered from reviews I've watched. The biggest thing is that people say the WeiSu has a popping issue, which is fixed in the AoSu. However, the AoSu costs a bit more. I ordered an AoSu for myself last week, but I hear they are both great cubes so you should be good. Check out some AoSu reviews on YouTube; almost all of them compare it to the WeiSu.

I'm getting new stickers for my Dayan Zhanchi from the cubicle and was wondering what the specific shades were
I have trouble differentiating the orange and yellow sometimes but I actually like the shades besides that issue

What is the difference between the Aosu and the Weisu? I bought a Weisu and hope I didn't make a bad decision.

I own the Apsu and I love it however the weisu is still a great cube
there are several comparison videos between the two on youtube you can look at

I think the dayan set is just regular yellow/white/orange/red/blue/green (not completely sure though).

You could try half brights which is regular white/red/blue + fluorescent yellow/orange/green. You might want to change the blue to bright blue or another lighter blue shade because standard blue from the cubicle looks almost purple to me (doesn't mess up my recognition at all, just kind of weird switching between cubicle half brights and moyu stock shades).

well i could but I do better with the darker green like on a dayan
the problem is the orange and yellow maybe get bright for orange and yellow and leave the other stickers normal

I just checked the cubicle's website and for Dayan color scheme it's regular colors for white red yellow and green with dark blue and light orange

maybe if i just swap out the orange for a regular orange it'll have enough contrast with the yellow
