My avg on the 3x3 used to be around 20.5 seconds, now it's slowed down by like 2 to 3 seconds. My 4x4 times on the other hand have dropped from 1:40 avg to 1:20 avg (using Yau). My theory is that with because with Yau I dont need to plan and solve the cross, I've gotten really bad at it.

Is there some relation between the times of my 3x3 and 4x4 solves? Like if I average 21 seconds and the WR avg is around 7 seconds, I'm 3 times slower than the WR meaning I should be around 3 times slower with the 4x4 too? Do you guys think solving the 4x4 helps to get faster with the 3x3 too? I currently only find the 4x4 interesting (since my cube is so awesome), which is why I dont practice 3x3. I still care about my 3x3 average though.

Sorry for the confusing question, any thoughts constructive thoughts on the post are appreciated.

Hopefully my pictures are attached and are visible.

Basically I am wondering if I need to replace this corner on my Zhanchi. I don't think there is any real difference with it other than when I squeeze the corner, it doesn't snap together - it stays as is. I only want to replace the corner if it will damage the rest of the cube. So the question is: should I replace this corner because it is damaging the cube?

No, this happens pretty regularly

Anyone know a good place to buy the ShengShou Pyraminx? So far I've found it for about 11$ with shipping on both the cubicle and wallbuys (for some reason I couldn't select free shipping on wallbuys), and of course I'd rather support the cubicle. But before I order, does anyone know of a better deal? I thought it was weird that I couldn't find it on HK Now.

UKcubestore.com

Edit:Oops, god damn refresh.

Hard to say since the latest SS 4x4s look all the same from the outside. Even the box of the v4 and v5 is similar afaik. We'd need pictures of the internal pieces and the full picture of the edge pieces.

@SS Pyraminx
Fasttech.com sells at $7.7

One more fingertrick????

Will make one is a sec.

edit: can't find my tripod :/

edit2:

I do the first one you taught me a little differently, I do U' R' F R F' R U R' so I apply the fore finger push at the second part of the alg.

Antoine you helped me with this fingertrick sometime ago and I wanted to ask you for one more fingertrick for F2L 26 on the SS page, I'm trying to figure out which alg is sub 1 able and how to do it, so if you ever have time can you do another little vid for me?

Thanks for all your help.

I got mine from fasttech.com. $7.70 USD is the price listed on the site.

Edit: And they ship worldwide for free.

is there a name for PLLs that are just 2 (or more) OLLs? And is there a list of combos that acheive all PLLs?
In case that doesn't make sense. My Y perm consist of a 'fish' and a 'T' OLL. My T perm is that in reverse.

Is there a list of these combos out there? And what are they called (if named at all).

I remember a thread about that from like two years ago haha. I can't find it now though, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to create every PLL from combinations of OLLs, it's just that they would be longer than the normal ones in most cases.

You can create them though! You can go to the OLL page on the wiki, pick one at random and execute that algorithm, find the new case and solve it, then see what PLL it made. Write it down and repeat until you get all the ones you need.

Since there a multiple algorithms for each OLL, you could learn most of the OLL while learning all the PLL if you were okay with the speed loss.

Thanks, and I know a good many OLLs and the all the PLLs. I'm just hoping for a list of the algs already completed (2+ OLL = PLL). I'm wanting to learn this, However, I'm too thrilled to learn it through experimention. If no one knows of a list perhaps I will, but again, not too thrilled lol.

Does anyone know where I can find algorithms for the FP (face permute) pyraminx method?

I have searched the web extensively for pyraminx methods and algs, and there really aren't any. I have never seen anything that lists algs for FP. Besides, it's pretty much a crappy and slow method. No one fast uses it anymore.
