I want to buy some traxxas oil for my fangshi but I am getting shock oil and differential oil mixed up. Which one do you use and what weight?

The differential oil 30k and 50k are the ones people generally use
For the Fangshi id go for like 10k weight tho

There's no point in lubing the FangShi pieces. Depending on what lube you use the lube will just either A) wear out very quickly making it very frustrating as you have to relube like every 3 days or B) cumulate in the gaps making the cube actually slower.

Use traxxas diff oil 50k for the core, dont lube the pieces. Makes it great.

Diff oil is like lubix, shock oil is runny like water. Shock oil is best used on big cubes and diff oil is best used on the pieces of small cubes or in the centers of any puzzle.

The weight means how sticky the stuff is. For example if you do a bubble race (turn the bottle upside down and see which air bubble reaches the top faster) with 30k and 50k diff oil, the 30k diff oil will win easily. Its less viscous=less weight=less sticky.

What timer shows best Ao100/Ao50?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a good timer which will give me Best Ao50/Best Ao100 stats for long sessions (i.e. 100+ solves).

I currently use CCT, which doesn't do either, and although I can export my times to Excel in a roundabout way, I'd rather have the functionality natively in my timer. I've seen various posts where people have pasted in their session stats, including these averages, so I know there must be some easier way of doing it!

Either online or offline is fine - bearing in mind I'm running an old old macbook, so no Windows suggestions plz.

Already looked at QQTimer, but doesn't seem to have a 'Best Ao100' option.

TIA

Adam

I use CSTimer (http://cstimer.net/timer.php) and it works great! Couple tips to make it optimal for me and maybe for you.

1. Go to Option and under color scheme select black for night and white for day.

2. Go to tools and select statistics.

You can use whatever mean of N or average of N you choose with qqtimer. It will keep track of both current and best averages for each session. I used to use Prisma, I've switched to qqtimer.

I was disassembling my Dayan 2x2 to lubricate it, and I noticed that the washer was between the screw and the spring rather than the spring and center piece hole. Is it supposed to be assembled with the washer between the screw and spring or between the spring and center piece, or does it not matter?

The washer prevents the spring from grinding against the plastic, causing it to wear out.

I have a fangshi broken in, and am getting a new one. I have ordered only one set of bright stickers... Should I put it on the new fangshi or the old one?

Whatever you want lol. If the broken in one is your main, just sticker it. If you still can't make up your mind toss a coin.

Its because my broken in one has been lubed and tensioned really well but there is some dirt and on one side, the plastic is coming off..... But I know the new one will be good, but im not sure if I can retension and lube it as well..... And I want the one with bright stickers to be my main :)

the plastic? O_o you could always swap pieces so your lubed and tensioned core has nice pieces with it. then sticker that one. :3
