Lol, you don't get banned for three years for lying once, that would be absurdly harsh. Haiyan got banned for behaving like a jerk in such an extent that the only way to deal with him was to kick him off.

You can basically use any cube, but don't make it expensive. Otherwise that would be a waste of money.

Lube it, or turn more slowly

Not necessarily turn slower, but use less corner cutting, especially reverse. That will keep the sound down a lot.
Lubing or gumming up the cube works too.
