How old are old plastic Zhanchis?

How old are the old Zhanchis? I was unpacking some boxes and found a few Zhanchis that I had bought in early June/late July of 2011 and was wondering if they were the infamous old plastic cubes. They were all new, and actually don't feel very different, the only thing I noticed was they had a different core. Are these old plastic zhanchis?

How do you prevent a good cube from getting worse over time, or how do you restore it?

I got a cool Guhong V2 a while ago and it was really good for a month but then it felt sluggish.

Now I've had my Lubix Lingyun V2 for about a month and it's starting to feel a bit sluggish also?!

I have just reassembled my 3x4x5 and noticed that some faces lock up because the inner center pieces are misaligned. What seems to be the problem? FYI, there is a piece that I don't know where to attach to so I left it out. I still have it, though.

Have you tried relubing your cubes?

I relubed my Guhong V2 a few times, but it just returned to sluggish a few days after I relubed it. Perhaps I need to clean my cubes more thoroughly.

Try these I know it's for 5x5 but they will fit the 42mm zhanchi http://cubesmith.com/5x5x5.htm.

For magaminx the DNF and +2 solves are the same as the 3x3?

Yes. A misalignment on megaminx is 36 degrees, which is half of a move.

Yes. I think most cubes have white cores. It doesn't matter what colour the core is.
