The One Answer Question Thread

Is there a good video or walk through of finger placement/tricks for Gc Perm?

R2' u' R U' R U R' u R2 (y) R U' R

I can't figure out how to do the u R2 through end without re-gripping. Ga and Gb I can easily do without re-grips. Haven't learned Gd yet.

You can do it like this: after the R U R', push u with your index finger on the E layer, and your right hand should be on the R layer, just push it back up for the R2. Instead of rotating to do R U' R', do f R' f'. Push f with your thumb, which should be in position. Hope this isn't too confusing.

I actually do the u (after R U R') with the ring finger of my right hand. I'm not sure if that makes sense, and it's a little awkward, but prevents a re-grip right there. Like JianhanC said, use f R' f' at the end instead of R U' R'.

Ah, yes. Got it. Sometimes it just takes a simple explanation to see a better way. Thanks!

That's a challenge for me, but I'll work on it to avoid the rotation. The Ga and Gb rotations are pretty smooth for me, but I can see how using the front face is superior.

EDIT: I can get the f with my thumb pretty easily and then the R'. Index finger for the f'?

Great video! Thanks so much, everyone.

go slow, count how many edges are misoriented, and each time you do a F/B turn, keep track of how many are left. focus first on improving EO detection and orientation first and do EO + Line, then later start predicting where the edges will go while you orient

Thanks
I have get avg20 with CFOP,and I want try some new methods,that's why I learn ZZ.And the EO-line is different with Cross,I can't adapt it >_<
I can't count misoriented edges fast, and always do so many turns for orient it.What should I do for this step?Does it have any Algs?
