Does anybody know if the 2x2x4 can be solved like a 3x3x4, just without the centers? For Example working on the inner 2 layers and finishing off the top layers? Or being its ability to shapeshift would it not be possible, unless u only do 180 degree L and R moves?
You can solve cuboid-shape easily by applying Guimond orientation algs. After that, yes, the 224 can be solved like a 334.

Ok, I've been cubing for a while and am down to 21-25, sometimes a 26-29 in CFOP.
But i decided to do LBL once, and i got a 27..
So does that mean my problem is my look-ahead or what?

I would just practice f2l a lot. Do slow solves. Your f2l will get much faster, it just requires a bunch of practice.

An algorithm which totally comprises of only turns from two layers. E.g. RUR'URU2R' is 2-gen because it uses only moves from two layers; R and U.
RUR'U'R'FRF' is 3-gen because it uses only turns from 3 layers; R, U and F.

not necessarily, it means it only uses 2 sets of moves. R' D' R U R' D R U R' D' R U2 R' D R is a 2 gen (<R' D R, U>) A perm.

My stickers are starting to peel/chip off. I think its cause of my nails. When I turn, my nail catches on the stickers and its starting to chip.
My nails arent even long. I keep em short.
How can i prevent more chippage? lol

Turn more gently?
My stickers chip a lot, I let them keep chipping (it looks cool anyway), then replace when its just like a dot of every sticker left...

Would an extra move be more optimal than a cube rotation?

Say you hit a U perm, should you line up the finished side and put it in the back, risking a cube rotation, or no?

Optimal? Can you say, more optimal?
Of course it will add an extra more, however I would recommend Adjusting the U Face over rotating...

If you have to rotate it wastes more time than adjusting the upper layer. Even if you adjust twice.

y2 is ALWAYS unnecessary, unless an algorithm requires it.
