Hm. Good point. I do still think 5.66 is if not more untouchable in a conp though.

LL skip can happen. (lse skip or something like that if you think roux)
People have also started to using OLS more. Fast F2L + easy OLS + PLL skip isn't that rare I guess.

You don't need a sub-8 a100...you just need a sub-7.64 avg5 (I'm fairly sure Alex has a few of these)

I know that. But if you are more cosistent sub-8 it will be much easier to get good averages at comps. Feliks has 6.62 at home, but that doesn't help him?

Well faz only averages 8.5-9. Alex is literally half a second or less behind him, so there's not much of a difference

Do you still think I average 9? :)

Does he really only average that? I honestly thought he was a bit faster especially cuz he's faster than me last time I checked. Besides, even I average faster than 8.5-9. Hm.

Edit: as for consistency, yah it confuses me. The thing is all my PBs for averages are close together, I don't have the luxury of some others of getting very low 7 averages of 5 often with a 8.3ish average. I do begin to wonder if my consistency explains why I get sub-8 avgs12 often but not so many sub-7.1avgs5 and have had only 2 5s. Yet a 8.2 avg100 or something.

Ok I got me a zhanchi stickerless and it feel really tight. The tensioning is way looser then my regular zhanchi yet its so much more difficult to turn. I havnt lubed it yet as I wanted to break it in but it does not feel anywhere near as good as my white zhanchi. It also feels heavier (i think its the V2 and my white is the V1) I have some differential oil(like 30k) and I know itll make a difference but it just feels so wierd cause its so loose(it even popped on me once already and my white one never pops and is fairly tightly tensioned) So what do you think I should do to rememdy this should I just lube it? Or do I need to let it have a break in period or what?

Edit: Ok well I just lubed up my zhanchi stickerless and its amazing now I just thought it was wierd cause the white one I got was amazing out of the package lube didnt really make much of a difference. But yea the zhanchi feels amazingly fast and smooth now!

noob question: what is anti-cll. I know what cll is, but just heard about anti-cll the first time from previous post...

I just read up on it here, It's a way of doing EG2 (where your first face has a diagonal swap), you choose the CLL which will also leave you with a diagonal swap (on top) then when you're finished you can do an R2 F2 R2 (hopefully cancelling into the last alg). So it's not actually new algs I guess, just applying CLL a different way, so that if your first layer is easier to do with a diagonal swap then it's easier to plan ahead for the CLL.

I read in the link below that Ernő Rubik is designing a speed cube. Can't find anything else to back it up. Anyone know if there's any truth to it? Maybe point me to somewhere this has been discussed on here before.
https://www.rubiks.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5689

It was also mentioned in the Financial Times article from a while back. But since speed cubers are such a limited market for Seven Towns, and there is no visual difference with a crap cube and speed cube I can't see it being released in a hurry.
