.. Are there any 8*8*8+ timers out there? The timers only seem to have options up to 7*7*7.

I know you like to use cube simulators like Gabbasoft, so I would suggest Prisma Puzzle Timer. You can just make a category for 8x8 and use an empty scrambler. And if you want to keep the scramble you can just import them into a spreadsheet, because Prisma doesn't support any scramble notation above 7*7*7.

Glow in the dark stickers

So, i was wondering if there's anywhere you can get glow in the dark stickers. Because I've seen the cubes with glow in the dark plastic, but I don't understand the point of that, because you can't see the stickers! Thanks :)

Shengshou mod of v-cube

I was just curious to know if anyone had tried doing the shengshou 5x5 mod on the v-cube 5. If so, is it a good mod for the v-cube 5 and is it worth doing?

Some of the algorithms have parentheses in them..

e.g. U R U2 R2 (F R F')

Do the parentheses mean anything in particular?

Just the elaborate on theZcuber's post, these common sequences of moves (triggers) are mostly used to help with memorization and perhaps finger-tricking. In your example the part in parentheses is likely referring to the common R' F R F' trigger (but in your case it would be R' R', which is simply performed as R2). Another common one is R U R' U'. I mentioned they can help with memorization, that is because instead of an algorithm like this: R U R' U' R' F R F' , which, although not particularily long, can simply be memorized as: (R U R' U') (R' F R F') or in other words: (trigger 1) (trigger 2), and if you know these triggers from previous algorithms or whatever, that is basically a free algorithm.
