I downloaded a lot of them and the computer won't let me open some of them. Are some of the links broken?
(I'm a noob at computer stuff)
The only one I could get to work that had keyboard controls (even though they're a bit awkward) was this one:
http://pbone.it-mate.co.uk/rubix.htm
It's a little buggy, but seems to work for the most part.

I am going to assume you have a Mf8 VII.

Shaving all excess plastic on the corners, edges, and centers.
Lube and retension the core.
Do AV corner mod to the corners.
Do the same thing to the four edges of the edges.
Do the same thing to the five edges of the centers.

Makes a megaminx great.

The megaminx I have doesn't seem to have center caps so i cant retension it. if you at my video, it is in the background. Ill do the lubing and shaving today.

Will CMLL help me become a faster Roux solver? I'm using 2 look corners now and I average about 19. I realize that my times will jump back up to probably 25-30 but in the long run, will CMLL lead to faster times than are possible with 2 look last layer corners?

Except if yours winds up like emolover's, if you breathe on it too hard it will pop. :) Although in fairness, it was absolutely the fastest-turning megaminx I've ever tried.

(Disclaimer: I'm basing this on what his puzzle was like last November; I don't know if it's the same now. I had a terrible time scrambling it, although I only made the mistake of popping it once - after that I was really really careful - it took at least twice as long for me to scramble his megaminx as it did anyone else's.)

What is an ideal average time using 2-look OLL and PLL?

Before I took a vacation from cubing my 3x3 times were averaging between 20 and 25 seconds. I had a lot of sub-20 times too.

I just started again and was wondering what a good goal would be using 2-look o/pll. I'm getting 30-35s averages.

Thanks!

So a 4LLL? I'm sub-30 with a 4LLL, so sub-30 is a good target to aim that. I also know a few more PLL's, so that probably helped.

Don't worry about your LL times that much. I'm sure if a sub-10 CFOP user did an average with 4LLL they would still be sub-15. That is assuming they can do 2L-PLL recognition, which I know I suck at terribly because I never did it.

Just focus on your cross and F2L while learning one or two 1LLL algs on the side. Practice them on their own a bit, and use them in your solves when they pop up. Once you feel comfortable, learn a new one. Take it easy but don't stop.

How do you look at your F2L? As in, do you track a corner/edge and see the pair and put those together or do you know where everything is and do them all together. Does it help to know where your cross will show up? Basically, I know there are probably 100 ways to do it, but is it best to track say ... 2 corners and an edge or is that not even worth trying for?

Also: How would you finger trick a B/B' from standard position or can you not?

Well I only average about 20-25 seconds so I may not be the best to give advice, but what I do is during cross I try to find at least a corner that will end up on top (if it ends up on bottom I generally have a really bad cross to F2L transition...). During F2L I try to keep track of as much as possible, generally 2 pairs or a pair and a corner. It is also sometimes overlooked but quite important to also keep track of where empty/full slots are (doing less rotations, which is already quite good, makes this easier). Of course if you are newer it will be hard to keep track of a lot. Basically you want to try to keep track of as much as you can and through practice work on being able to keep track of more and look further ahead and be smoother.

As for the B/B', most people try to avoid these as much as possible. If you have to do B/B' you are probably best off repositioning and flicking with your right/left forefinger depending on which way to turn it. Cube rotations may also work but it would probably be situational (as with using B/B' anyway).

What happened to the atomic cube lube thread? Did it get deleted?

I just got it in the mail and the lube sucks. It is just repackaged shock oil.

Thank goodness I didn't pay anything because this **** is a rip off. The only good thing that happened from this was getting the nice stickers they sent.

well i guess that answers a few peoples' questions about atomic cube lube
too bad they didn't send out their awesome unbreakable aluminuminum core for free <______<

how do you know it is shock oil? I liked mine, but I can not tell the difference between this and shock oil. Either way, it does not suck. Do you think shock oil sucks?
